Googling comes up to Microsoft, but based on what others have said, I'm glad I didn't answer it. Called me at 6:25 pm on Saturday night.
I'm trying to gather information on these people that are making these calls then dox them and hand them over to the federal agents eventually when I can gather more info. So far all I have now if their ip "65.55.92.183". I've researched that they use multiple ip addresses and this is one of them. They supposedly live on Redmond, Washington. But they could just be bouncing their ip to your location. Like I said earlier I would like to gather more info on them, then eventually dos them or turn them over.
This is from Microsoft (425) 882-8080 I ignore it, I get it after I get support from them they always want to know if the ticket is CLOSED even though I write them and tell them.. (I think support people get points for marking tickets closed) so my ticket gets closed 4times? I ignore them and they finally give up after 5 times, The problem is they don't seem to remember what TIME zone I'm in. Because the support People are in india... So you can get calls at all hours of the day.. Just ignore them and they will go away after 5 or so tries... (I would block this number but I do get Legit Support calls from them.)
Microsoft is not stealing money from you, you are probably getting scammed. And PayPal won't do anything if you give people money, that's your fault. They can't protect you from being stupid. This is probabl a a fake email saying it's from them...What ever you do don't click on the links because they aren't paypal linksForward email to spoof@paypal.com
This is a real Microsoft Support number. But like previous posters have stated, unless you, or someone who gave your phone as a contact number have initiated a service ticket with Microsoft then it is not them calling you. It is a spoofed number.
Received a phone call from the number at 7pm on Thursday with the person saying they were with tech support and that my computer had been compromised.. SCAM. Hung up on the person. Sunday Morning at 1:15am, received the same phone call, which as far as I know, U.S. law says companies can not make outbound phone calls to customers after 9pm. Definitely reporting this record to the Attorney Generals office.
