There's no way this is legit - I'm 39 years old and have never contacted AARP for anything, so why would they call me? I'm also perfectly healthy (well, relatively speaking) and have great health insurance. I'm not on any form of medicare. And they called me on December 4 (I didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message). Maybe AARP does have a legitimate service and uses this phone number, and some scammer has spoofed it.
I've received several calls from this number in the past few weeks. Yes, definitely a scam. I never answer, they never leave messages. I'm going to add them to my list of calls to be blocked from getting through on my phone. You can do this if you subscribe to the call blocking packages from phone carriers. Mine is AT&T, and it works very well.Caller ID shows 'House Calls'.
Do not trust any messages stating it is urgent with information. Did not state his/her name or company where they are calling from. Do not trust.
This number calls my land line at least 10 times a day. I have blocked it on my phone but I want to be able to END the harassing calls.
This phone # keeps calling, even though I have reported it numerous times, the do not call . gov is a joke , they can't stop these harassing calls. I am glad others have posted about these scammers.......
I have received numerous calls from House Calls. I never answer & have gone so far as to disconnect my answer machine. I was hoping they would think my number was not a working number. They are very insistent & now call my cell. I have blocked their number but I am sure they have plenty of other resources. Last week they called my son. He is listed as my emergency contact. He asked if this was an emergency & was told no. They wanted to know how they could contact me with a special offer. He asked them to not call him again. He also explained how upsetting their call was.....thinking it was an emergency when in fact it was not. What gives them the right to contact emergency numbers when there is no emergency!
This number called tonight asking for my deceased uncle's ex wife of 40 years. She has never lived here with my family. Our last name is not the same, not even close. She is not even in the same state. When I told them there was no one here by that name the woman said I'll make note of it. Chances are these idiots will call again. And if they were legit (which I doubt they are) why would I do business with a company that can't even get the initial information right.
This has got to stop!! These annoying calls at all hours of the day. AARP should look into this and do something about it.I will switch if I have to. They are not the only medicare insurance company. I will do away with my land line also. All I get on it are telemarketers and yes my memory on my phone is full and don't know how to get more memory. (Same with my brain)
Total annoying and they are a pest. I found out that they get a kickback for every person they see. Personally I don't need theirhelp and I see my doctor once a year for a check-up. If I need him for anything else I am capable of calling him and making an appointment. They can call till doomsday and I won't respond.
