i RECEIVED A PHONE CALL LOOKING FOR MY DAUGHTER IN LAW

Proving scumbags don't take breaks, they are continuing their phone assault on Memorial Day weekend.Screw you Santander!!!

I get several calls a day from them from numerous numbers. A couple of times they've left a message looking for someone I've never heard of. If I answer the phone there's never anyone there. If you call back you just get an automated system that takes you in circles. Really annoying.

It is Santander. They bought out my car loan from Citifinancial Auto. They have called the loan because it is the due time, and tell me that I still owe $9,300 on my $10,000 car, after six years.I ask for a detailed statement, I get it, but they WILL NOT give you any detail on what they added to my interest. When I asked several different people at Santander about that, they told me to go figure it out by myself. They would not give me the detail. Fortunately for me, I know the original interest and they have managed to add roughly $6,500 to the interest. But will not give me that detail. I begged for someone to at least audit it, they told me they would and call back in two days. I did, and the guy I talked to just laughed and said they haven't and wouldn't do it. This one even told me he did not have time to fool with my questions. They want me to sign a note that would end up making my car cost $36,000. Any body know where I need to go from here?

Update: Found their main number on their website and talked to someone with a heavy Indian accent. She was courteous and apologized. She said she would take my number off their calling list. Hopefully, I won't hear from them again.

Don't waste your time with the Better Business Bureau. They are a joke, and if a company pays membership to them, then the BBB will always take there side.

Wow...you know nothing about death and bills. Just because someone passes DOES NOT mean you are free and clear of the bills. Read a law nook or even Google it. The estate holder, i.e. the wife in this case, is responsible for paying the remainder of the account holder's balance. Don't mouth off if you don't know what you're talking about. Makes you sound idiotic.

They call my husband and me constantly on our cells. Im not even on the loan. Last night they called at 11:45 pm. I have to get up at 5:30 for work so I was furious. We get easily 5 or more calls EACH to our cells every day. A few months ago we made payment arrangements.. gave 1/2 payment the day we made the arrangement and said we would make the remaining the following monday.. That thursday they called and said make the remaining now before Friday or we will be a tow truck at your home Friday morning. We told them we made arrangements less than a a week ago and were paying the remaining Monday.They said didnt matter. I had to borrow from my boss that day and was so embarrassed. This place is so stressful even when you pay on time.

That's not true. The law applies to anyone who extends you a loan for any reason. They have to follow the collection laws if they are attempting to "collect a debt". You need to be more careful about spitting out information like that, because I've already been there and already done that!
