It's not a Texas thing. I live in Omaha, NE and received a call today. I am also on the Do Not Call list, but that doesn't stop them from calling. The calls are always on my cell phone. Recently I made a list of all the "Robo Calls" made to my cell phone. Currently there are 27 different phone numbers on it.

UNWANTED calls from 480-982-3626 Phoenix, Arizona to my cell phone. Please stop them. They do not leave a message.

Since no one can ever read a full thread it seems like, let alone all the other threads out there on this, this should be on every page so these myths end.1.)AIR HORN IS USELESS STOP SPREADING FALSE INFORMATION. The only way it may be "partly" useful, is if you lead them on with a very low voice, and then after wasting their time, blow it. Always waste their time, or completely ignore.2, in response to "c" on page 14, "This is a scam. They ask you to press "1" on your telephone so they can use your number to make LD calls and you get charged for them.", I am having trouble seeing how this could be possible, they call you, so no matter what the charge is on them. Additionally, as other commenters mentioned before, their using VOIP, which is a digital signal, so their paying either nothing, or fractions of a penny per minute to operate this in the first place.And 3, if you have a smart phone, you can get apps to block this stuff. 4, Some users have reported success with SIT tones as well. I can't confirm myself though, but maybe worth trying.Also one thing to note, these 'employees' are most likely commission based. This is why wasting their time is sooo effective compares to every other solution people have offered.

I have reported themI even listened to there crap then when i blasted them for waisting my time he told me he would kill my family and then said sick sex acts! I reported them and also on do not call list I wish someone would put these jerks out of service!

What I would like to know is how many people have or are falling for this obvious scam. There must be people who have been duped by these thieves and thus there should be some kind of paper trail to at least run these people down and prosecute them. If they are offshore then that compounds the problem but there still should be more publicity and pressure that can be brought to bear on them. Calling the Government and/or filing a complaint does nothing at all.

I, too, receive calls from "Account Services". It looks like there's nothing that will be done and this will continue to happen.

I get these calls also. I downloaded Mr Number on my Droid phone - now they all get blocked. It really works!

has called me 5 times so far today...no message..nothing...want to reach trhough the phone and pound on them

I tried pleading, I tried loud whistles, I tried letting the answering machine pick up. Nothing seemed to work Here is my latest attempt. I have saved the following numbers (360-529-6177, 971-220-1032, 480-982-3626) on my cell phone under the contact "BS" (for obvious reasons) with a specific ring tone. When I get a call from one of these numbers, I answer and KEEP QUIET. Hopefully, their system will interpret this as a non-working number and remove it automatically. I have received significantly fewer calls

Received 2 calls on my private cell phone..when I called it back it said thank you for returning our call. You can download apps to your cell and play games.. My cell is listed on the do not call list.. Isn't it bad enough to get this crap on a home phone, now it's cell phones running and wasting our minutes? only reason I called it back was because I'm in that area code.
