I have been getting calls daily for 4 years every summer.

This number is for KOOL ('Kentucky Offender Online Lookup') which, if you sign up for it, will let you know that a KY. inmate has been transferred from one facility to another, and VINE ('Victim Information & Notification N[E]twork'). To stop the calls coming (every 2 hours) all you need to do is: #1 - Answer the phone; #2 - Listen to the short automated message; #3 - Press whatever number you are told to to indicate that you aren't the person who signed up & you don't want to receive any further calls. -- But JIC they don't stop, write down the phone number you are given so you can ring the BOP (Board Of Prisons/Bureau Of Prisons) and ask them to please remove your name & number.

just a pure nuisance

I believe that it's a number associated with "VINE". It makes sense. i got three calls from this number but no message left. usually don't they leave a message? i looked up the person in jail this "VINE" service is suppose to protect me from and the person is still in custody. And just so you know THE VINE SERVICE IS AN EXCELLENT SERVICE TO THOSE A VICTIM TO SOMEONE ELES BRUTALITY PROBLEMS WHO'S CURRENTLY IN JAIL BECAUSE OF THEIR PROBLEMS! It lets a victim know their abuser is out of custody and to be aware of that and to protect themselves if that person were to be set free and come by the victims house/job etc. The calls you're getting if it doesn't pertain to you are meant for a victim who obviously got a new number and you got a new number that this notify service was set up on. That's all.
