Man called and was laughing the whole time ... I hung up ...

These folks are now calling Canadian numbers -- under "Unknown Caller" on caller ID. At least they callat arund 8:30pm Eastern. Now weknow who these clowns are, we know how to handle the problem.

I don't even live in the state so why are they calling me? I have relatives there but that doesn't give them the right to call an area code outside their state even if it is a political call, especially if it is a local thing!

I just got a call from 503-575-7964. They identified themselves as Bernett, no further info given. After reading some earlier posts I found out that they are a research company. Received a call from this company a 2nd time and as I was aware it was them this time I answered the phone "Law offices of Hammerstein & Nichols" and boy did they hang up fast!I find this seems to do the trick with those pesky phone solicitors and typically do not receive any return phone calls from the same company.

keep on calling and say nothing

This number called me today 08/23/14 at 5:20 p.m. and hang up without living a message. My phone is unlisted but it keeps on calling me. On my phone screen it showing the name BERNETT R. I AM VERY, VERY ANNOYED BY THIS PERSON KEEPS ON CALLING.

"Trent told me the company was called Mercury, even thought the name on my caller ID said Bernett Research." I thankfully no longer work for this company. Unfortunately, people are sometimes left without the luxury of choosing their employment. The comment above is FALSE. As the manager of the facility I would have known what your caller ID displayed as I was able to control what was displayed on your caller ID.I understand your aggravation but there is no need to make false statements. If you don't want to receive calls from people like Bernett do not give your telephone number to shady companies that sell it to companies like Bernett.BTW - Some of telephone numbers that Bernett uses are randomly generated and to avoid future calls of the sort you can simply remove your number by going to Bernett's website.
