It is May 2012 and the same remarks as below. Caller leaves no message..I don't know who they are and I'm not calling to find out!
Really Pat? I also do outbound calling for market research. If you would pay careful attention to the DNC you would know that ANYONE who requests you put them on your own companies DNC list you would be required to by law. If your company is not maintaining a DNC list then they are in violation. Please learn the law and protect yourself. If you truly need the job, then find work with a reputable company.
Got a call from them the other day for the first time. He said he was so and so from RDD Field Services and he had some questions and immediately asked how many adults live in my house. I started laughing, I said no way in heck I'm ever answering a question like that! He was snotty, said "you don't want to answer questions? simple questions?" haaa. I told him to remove me from the list. Got another call today, same voice as yesterday's guy. I was polite and asked them to remove me AGAIN, he said sorry and hung up. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Called my cell and did not leave a message. The number they called is on the Do Not Call registry. So glad that's working out.
These survey companies may not be subject to the do not call list, but that is only because they bought off the politicians to be exempt. As other posters have said, my time is NOT FREE. Why should Market Decisions make money off other people's opinions and not pay for it? NOT FAIR.I have a suggestion for anyone that does have time to take these survey calls. Give false answers. If enough of their data is unreliable, they will eventually be out of business. When the "margin of error" approaches 50%, what good are the survey results?Stop them from making money off the general public. Make them post paid advertisements for paid survey participants.
