I did this too and went on a cruise for two for about $550 once we paid for an upgrade to outside cabin and all the taxes. Not a bad deal. I've been called in again and will go. I know how to say NO 75 times to get a cruise or a trip to Vegas.
Ladies and Gents...I work for Southern Journeys. I said it. I have worked for the company for a VERY long time. The calls you get are because you or SOME ONE you know put your phone number in for a drawing. YES they call to get you to come in for the presentation. NO WE ARE NOT TIMESHARE!!!! If you travel a lot it is a great deal, If you do not travel just sit through the presentation and wait for them to talk to you and leave. YOU DO HAVE TO PAY TAXES on your free gift. The reason that the line says disconnected when you call is because the call center in Louisiana dials from an automatic dial list, they don't even know who they are calling next. You are guaranteed your gifts when you leave. BUT FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BACK!!!!! It is no problem of ours if you fail to read instructions. Any other questions?
I signed up for a car at the mall...they made up an appointment but I don't know if its real
Oh yeha. powerball is drawn on the last Saturday of every month, The Cars are given away EVERY February, and please PLEASE when you sign up for things ask questions, be logical!!!!
They called me tue 5th feb'14 @ 5:30 pmCouldn't & would't disseminate info that would validate their credibility or where I placed drawing in & around SATX. Finnaly aft 3-4 calls of insisting 2 know who they are, as if knocking @ my door with unsolicited 'sales pitch' but I don't recognize THEM,upon 3rd attempt & 3rd person runaround, I was informed that I 'SCARED' lady receptionist only for insist I don't know who you people are. Asked man, whose comment had unfound merit, to allow me 2 speak 2 his manager, which the only response I got was he hastily hung up the phone!!!1 These subhumans display tactics of deceit & manipulation...corrupt business practices via phone solicitation2After reading critic reviews & N4 via internet that help me discern their discreditability,2a Conclusive evidence revealsThey got my info at an HEB Event and while my follow up on a internet employment opportunity
Oh Please! If these Give-A-Ways are legit then why are they disguised? If a Harley is the actual winning prize then a representative from Harley Davidson would be involved & the same as it would be for cash prizes(the sponsoring financial institution would be involved)! Get real, These are fraudulent scams to lure naive people & speaks for itself. Why would any legit contest/drawling promise winnings of a vehicle and/or cash to entry winners & then all of a sudden the entries are being harassed by a telemarketing scheme selling cruises/vacations that actually cost more and provide nothing? Legit contests would not have these practices at all! The information on the BBB websites are not always true considering the general public can actually add postings to the sites. Another truth Hollie is Southern Journeys of Texas, she's in Richardson, Texas. She shows photos of the apartment(back yard & balcony) where her relatives live(locally) from a worn out album. There are Polaroid snapshots of people everywhere in the entire office suite(taped & stapled to walls, desks etc). The snapshots are people paid to stand in front of a wallpaper muriel(which is in the office suite) to make them appear to be at a tropical resort! All of the photos are the same & just duplicated many times over & hung up! Advice: Before you fill out another "Enter To Win" Use your mobile device & take pictures of everything involved including entry form, booth, people at booth, signs, posters, t-shirts, drop boxes etc & even the location of where all of this crap is set up! Then contact dealerships, banks as well as their corporate offices to verify the contest/give-a-way. Trust me this will bring attention to what is actually going on. Once these dealerships, banks & corporate offices become involved things will change dramatically & in a hurry! Hiding behind " Harley, Hummer and/or Cash Prizes" is literally False Advertising & Illegal! If & when any contest/give-a-way promises any type of prize winnings they have to clarify exactly what's involved & they have to provide the actual promised winning prize! That's the law!!! Southern Journeys is Timeshares!
The caller offered me a trip for a weekend if I sat through a presentation. It's a time share thing. scam or not - I am not interested. They most likely got my phone number from a giveaway I recently entered.
Have any of you ever thought of the fact that we all are semi-finalists? Yep, considering most of us have never entered any contests, drawlings & give-a-ways! All are semi-finalists because there is no actual drawling & grand prize! These individuals use vehicles, cash and/or other non-existant prizes to lure (bait & hook) people! Yes, personal info is passed onto others & annual household income is a huge interest more than name, address & phone number. Noticed an increase in telemarketing calls? Receiving more junk mail? What about door to door solicitors & complete strangers approaching you everywhere you go? It's not just coquencidence! The higher the income the more greedy hands show up! These cruises/vacations are not FREE nor are they DISCOUNTED! Free means at no cost at all! Yes, these individuals are DECEPTIVE IN EVERY WAY and what they are doing is ILLEGAL & better known as FALSE ADVERTISING by using other businesses/companies & making promises of high-end prize winnings! Next time before you walk away from an "Enter To Win" Use your mobile device & take pictures of everything concerning the give-a-way including the entry forms, signs, posters, any & all advertising, booth, drop boxes, representatives as well as locations etc. Bingo, you will have proof of exactly of what is being offered by the give-a-way/enter to win/contest! Then when telemarketers call & you need proof for a formal complaint or legal counsel, all you have to do is drop & print or send by email! Who knows, this could lead to a Class-Action law suit! Question; Have any of you actually seen any evidence of State Licenses for these characters? Yes, it's law & the License must be displayed visibly to the customers! Advice: Do Not Depend on what is posted on the BBB websites considering those sites are available for the general public to post their own comments & most of the info is not true! Southern Journeys is a SCAM! If they aren't then they wouldn't be disguising themselves as a vehicle dealership and/or financial institution instead Southern Journeys would be presenting themselves as themselves! Been there, Done that!
Called three times and did not leave a message. Called today and asked my wife if I was home. When she said no they hung up without further comment. When I try to return the call I get sounds like a fax machine. The name "S.J.Reis" shows up on the call. They just called again for the fourth time, second time today and said I had signed up for a $50,000 give away and was a finalist. I told her that I did not sign up and then she said maybe my wife did since her name was on the form too. I told her no. She said we signed up at a Tulsa Drillers Convention. The Tulsa Drillers are a local ball team. We were at a recent game and bought tickets online. I did not enter any contest and I resent them calling.
I just got a call from a rep at southern journeys and she definitely used the word free repetitively. I was very inquisitive about what I would encounter during the presentation and what it cost me to get the free gift and she assured me that i would not be going to purchase any timeshares and that the gift is mine just for showing up. She further elaborated on the type of gifts I could choose from reiterating that they were a free roundtrip airfare, hotel stay, or gift card. So, yes, they misleading and after reading the reviews here I will not be at the presentation tomorrow!
