I called back and everything from answering phone sounds legit. I asked for the person that called me last night. They put me on hold and left me! Scammers is my opinion.
I had a problem with my I-Tunes linking to my I-Phone yesterday that APPLE could not resolve. They said they would have a level 3 Tech call me today to see if he could set things right. He called from this number as promised and got the problem resolved. I appreciated the call back as promised and my problem resolution. I don't believe for a minute that this number is anything more then APPLE conducting extrordinary service. WE need to quit being so cynical of companies trying their best to help their customers.
In my case I am an iOS app developer, and a call came from this number reminding me that my developer program membership was about to expire. Good thing too as I had forgotten that it was due about this time of year.
Legit call from Apple.Left Call Type as 'unknown' because there wasn't an option that would indicate 'legit call'.
They called before 9am on our cell phone, just asking questions about our business?? Told them to USE GOOGLE to look us up instead of using our cell minutes. DUMMIES.
This is a legit number from Apple. I had them calling me in response to a issue I had with repair work getting done. Don't be alarmed it is legit.
