FYI, I received a call from this number, called them back and found out someone had my card number and was using it to attempt to make an order. Was being shipped to a totally different state. They cancelled the order to prevent the money from coming out of my account.Called the bank and turned my card off, i'll get a new one in the morning. They asked for no personal information, as they already had it, including the last 4 of my card number.Thank goodness they called and checked. I'd call them back if you get a call from them if I were you.Jeff

It was Macy's calling to confirm an order. The caller's accent was so thick that I had trouble getting the number referenced correctly. I called the "Contact Us" Number on Macy's website rather than the number from the VM message since it all seemed suspicious. The call was automatically routed to consumer protection where I was asked for the ref number. It wasn't recognized, but I was able to punch in a "1" to confirm my order. I soon received an email that said there was unsuccessful "attempts" to contact me. There was ONE attempt. This was way too annoying for a sub-$100 beauty order. No more Macy's for me unless there's some insane deal.

This was Bloomingdale's/ Macy's verifying the shipping address on my order.

This number is okay. I got a call from them notifying me that there had been fraudulent activity on my credit card. They canceled the purchase and gave me the fraud number of the credit reporting agencies.

I got this call also. IT IS MACYS CREDIT. Pay your bills people :)

I received a call from this same number advising me they were calling from Macy's and that there was a charge for a gift card (I do not have an account with Macy's or Bloomingdales), then I immediately received another call from same number this time identified as Bloomingdales. I am thankful I received these calls because when I accessed my debit card bank account I could see my card had been compromised. I suggest if you do get a call from this number that you take the call seriously and go through the different steps in order to protect your accounts.

This is Macy's fraud number... however I called the number back on my card and went through customer service to cancel my card and the pending online transaction. 1-866-593-2543 Customer service then, handled it all.

Well I got a call from this number , they didn't leave a message . From what I gather from comments it's Macy's , maybe Macy's credit card ? Well I've never had a Macy's card . But we did just order a sofa from them which I paid with my bank card . I don't know what the issue would be and I'm not sure why they called ... but I do question ppl saying it's Macy's card fraud dept since I don't have a Macy's card .
