just received a call from these people, when i called them back they did a search as to why they were calling me, they said they were doing a study for Scotia Bank...when I told them that they were NOT doing surveys for Scotia Bank, because Scotia Bank doesn't do surveys by phone the person on the other end said "ohhh" and then said good-bye

They call themselves a survey company to get around the "Do Not Call" legislation. They confirm phone numbers are active for Debt Collectors. If you answer or call back or ask them to remove your number from their call list it confirms your number is active and the Debt Collectors will call you continuously even if you haven't been answering unknown callers or phone numbers of known Debt Collectors

Received call at 9pm (weeknight) and googled to find the "remove" link posted here in this thread. At first I accidentally entered the number that called my home because this is how the government complaint site works and I was in the habit of using that type of web form. So I ended up submitting the company's own phone number to their do-not-call list ... wonder if they'll take themselves off their list. LOL!

Because we are now doing to you what American Survey Companies have been doing to us for many, many years.

If you own an Android phone (Samsung Galaxy S4 here), you may have a Reject List on your phone which will automatically reject calls from phone numbers that you have in the list. I have this number among many others and I never hear my phone ring or get any notifications of missed calls etc. from these numbers. LOVE IT. Technology working in our favour ;)For the S4 on Android version 4.2.2 the Auto Reject list is accessed via the Phone app, then click on Menu button to get Call Settings, then it's under Call Rejection. *thumbs up*

They just called me - 6:40 pm 13 Sep 2007we answer in french they did not answer...go figure...

Got a call from this # about 10pm. When I answered there was no one on the other end and I just hung up after saying hello only once. This is just the first call I've received from "this" # but thanks to this site I'll know not to bother answering if they happen to call again.It's great to have a site like this where people can find out and be forewarned about problem numbers.

I worked there for like one day! I hated bothering people all the time, but i needed the money at the time.Its a telemarketing company and they call people all over.****IMPORTANT***** THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN HAVE THEM NOT CALL YOU BACK IS IF YOU ANSWER THE PHONE AND SAY "TAKE ME OFF OF THE LIST & DO NOT CALL ME AGAIN"note that the people calling you aren't the ones to blame and yell at, its just their job.
