This number has called our home phone 4 times in less than 2 hours. This is very annoying and don't understand the purpose of return calls. They don't leave a message so I know it's nothing urgent.
Really professional of you to call people "retarded"...good way to represent your company. Do they know about your post or your attitude toward people that they are trying to solicit info from? It just goes to show the caliber of people they hire!
All done. You're off my list. Oh wait? I never called you in the first place, & neither did anyone here. It seems you've come to the wrong place for this. You need to call your service provider about call blocking, or buy one. 800 notes is a forum for discussing unknown & criminal calls, as you can see by reading the information at the top.
This number (514-288-0420) has called our place 6-7 times in the last few days, with nobody on the other end. The latest they called was 9:47pm. Dead air upon answering the call. Very irritating.
Turning off the phone is not an option for some of us. I have a disabled relative who has called me for help at night. My neighbour's job requires him to be on call so he can't turn off the phone either.
First of all they shouldn't call my phone number since is in the DNC list but this is just bulls***t I know.Second why they put me on this list. I never ask to receive such calls but this is bulls***t too, I know.At last, I block them! Hooray!
Since you guys fail at using basic logic, let me clue you in.I speak from long-time experience. I no longer work for the company and this is all I will disclose about myself. There's ways to stop being called by the company. When you get the call, answer and listen to the interviewer. Be polite. Do not interrupt and say POLITELY you're not interested. Say it in a nice tone and voilà. You won't get called anymore. Anyone of you that's a smug or rude piece of s... by telling us to F- off, you can bet you will get called back again and again when you least want to such as early week-end mornings. Some of us don't care at all. Be smart and be polite with people you don't know. I can bet you money you wouldn't like it either if I came to your workplace and started to cause you trouble because I didn't like what you did for a living. You reap what you sow. Period.Another thing : The DO-NOT-CALL list ONLY APPLIES to people selling stuff by telephone which has been outlawed some time ago in Canada. Opinion Search is exempt from that list because it's not selling products or services. Even if you have your name on the list, it's not going to prevent you from getting calls for polls no matter how much you b... and complain about it. Also, LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN TELEMARKETING AND MARKET RESEARCH. The terms themselves spell the difference! Telephone MARKETING and Market RESEARCH. If I have to make it even simpler for you because you don't see the difference, you might as well wear a dunce cap. When I was asked NICELY to be taken off the calling list, I would gladly do it. Be smug or arrogant about it and your request will most likely be disregarded and laughed at. Simple as that. I won't do a favour to someone insulting me nor would anyone else. Tough luck. Also, you don't cost us money at all when you remain silent over the phone. We are paid to listen to dead air you courteously provide us instead of dialling someone else. Speaking of which, when you remain silent on the phone, it's considered as ''no response'' and you will be called back. You might think you're a smart a.. by trying to have a giggle out of us but it's the opposite. It's wiser not to mess with people you know nothing about. Finally, TAKE OFF YOUR F... TINFOIL HAT! Stop being so obsessively paranoid about being scammed. If you pay attention to what we say on the phone, you will know why we are calling. If we say it's about customer service at so and so company you deal with, it's just that and nothing else. Unless you're a blabber-mouth and tell everyone about everything you do and who you deal with, no one else will call you by your full name on your personal phone number and tell you that we want to get your feedback about the service you received on XYZ date at XYZ company. Also, most companies use encryption to secure your personal information. If you don't know what encryption is, google it. Don't be lazy. Real scamming companies for examples are alleged ''Indian Tech Support'' companies telling you you have a virus on your computer or some debt collection company calling for a ''settlement''. There's plenty of them on Youtube. Do yourself a favour and look it up. It may take some time for some of you less-than-average-intelligence people to notice the difference in-between the two but if you take the time to learn it, it will save you a lot of stress and trouble. Therefore, wise the F- up. Don't mess with people calling you for surveys and be courteous to people doing s- work they very likely wouldn't do if they had any better choices. It will save you a lot of frustrations.
