You may have signed up to receive a call at your local Hy-VEE or something. I got the card and free magazine suscriptions several years in a row when I was in collage, it helped me pay for oil changes and my lunch many many times. It really saved me in more ways than one, you might say, and it encourages you to buy at local busineses insted of spending your money out of town. If you like to eat out its really great. Buy one get one free ice creams too. The free magazine subscriptions were pretty good too. When they called, I just said I couldn't afford it right now, and they were polite about it. One year I didn't get the call and I was bummed.

I used to live in the U.K. where they don't allow telemarketers at all. If you get one, you are to call British Telecom immediately and report them. I only received one of thoose calls the whole 5 and a half years I was there. We need to add some additional laws here maybe. You never get anything for free in Europe though, you even have to pay extra for packets of ketchup!

the keep it local card is probably the only honest telemarketing call you will ever get that is honest and worth your while. they are usually helping the fire department as well.

that is just rediculous if a person is not intrested then YOU are to hang up and quit bothering. You can get enough takers with out harrassing people into it. If your boss is making you do that then you can tell him it is against your religion and quit. if I had a [***] boss like that I would punch him out. there are elderly people who have to get up out of their chair everytime the phone rings, so if they say no thank- you, hang up and leave them the [***] alone!

I liked the cards too. There boss seems tyrannical though, and the kids calling sometimes have no common sense.

I just recieved a very disturbing call from this company. I told them that my husand was not home when they asked for him and the woman from the keep it local number was extrememly rude to me! Then proceeded to call me back 3X just to hang up on me! Who are these nuts??? Don't tell me about they are just trying to put food on their table! They are extrememly unprofessional!!! They have no communication skills and they should be reported for their extrememe unprofessionalism!!! If anyone of us ever treated customers in this manner we would be fired!!! Shame on you!

Everyone who recieves a call from these people should report them to the better business bureau. They are rude,obviously uneducated, and extremely unprofessional! How do they get paid???The more people they harrass they get a bonus?? .We also bought these cards every year, thinking that we were supporting our local business partners, but no more. All the forest lake and chisago businesses should no longer participate. Shut this company down!

Get a real job looser!!! All you are doing is ruining it for the businesses that innocently think they are being promoted. If they all found out how you harrass people, you wouldn't have their business to promote. DUH????? I am going to make it my mission that they all find out!I own my own business and I would want to know if someone was doing this to my customers.Shame on all of you!
