UPS calling me to follow up on a lost package investigation started last week.Calm down conspiracy theorists

I just got a call from this number and I live in Chicago not Arizona

LEGIT UPS # - from the Lost Package Investigations Dept#520-806-6666 United Parcel Service (per Caller ID)UPS lost 2 of our packages and were following up on them. Lady was "rude" at first trying to find the recipient, but then told her we were receiving on the person's behalf, and she became friendlier after I gave my name (which was in the records). I was hesitant to give out more information thinking it's a scammer, but she supplied them and I just confirmed.

Sorry, but I'm not the type of person who answered, but if it was UPS, they could have left me a message, but I have no idea if it is my stalker from Durango or someone else I don't know. Considering I have had problems with calls like these in the past.Sorry, but I didn't mail anything out and nor did I expect an order to come in. If I get anymore calls like this I will have my fiance answer it.

This is a legitimate UPS number. A package that should have been delivered in July, was damaged in transit and returned by UPS to sender. They were verifying the status.

I reported a missing package and this is the number they used to follow up and get more details. Thanks UPS!

It's legit...It's UPS claims department. They call to get get a statement on lost or stolen packages. I had a package stolen from our doorstep and before UPS can reimburse us, they conduct a small investigation to make sure the package was indeed stolen and not just delivered to the incorrect address. Our very considerate driver came out to our apartment after operation hours to explain the claims process to us. It takes about a month to get reimbursed but I'd take waiting a month over having to deal with the inefficiencies of the USPS.They usually call from this number, 520-806-6666, but should leave a message along with another number to contact them again. The 520 number cannot receive incoming calls so you have to use the number they leave in the message.

I received a call from this number and they left a message. It was about a package that was lost for a day. They were following up on my claim. It is legit. They asked me to call back 866-706-6897 and gave me my tracking number. I work for a company that has a phone system where when we call out an 800 number will come up on your caller ID. However, this is not the number I will give you to call me back. This is not a scam just UPS trying to follow up on lost packages.

Got a missed call to my Google Voice number today. They didn't leave a message.

I just received a call from 520-806-666 on my cell and, when I didn't pick up, they immediately called my home phone. The caller ID shows "United Parcel S," so I picked up. The man introduced himself as someone from UPS and that they're tracking down a package misdelivered to us. He wanted me to confirm my information, but I cut him off and asked which package he was referring to. He was taken aback and said that a package that was supposed to be delivered to Texas was misdelivered to us. I told him that no package was delivered and he was quick to say "Okay, I will update our records. May I get your name...." I just hung up in the middle of his sentence.It is very sad that some people resort to stealing what others have worked very hard to obtain. They are nothing but scum of the earth.
