Who ARE these people and how did they get my private/Work cell phone number?! Today - they left a message of NO-thing ... just minutes of someone at a keyboard. Yesterday, it was a different number (517.351.8404) and an offer of lower interest rates.

I answered the call and about 12 secs in the line just went dead. During this period I did not hear any noise or sound of life.

I've gotten many calls from this number -- is there any way I can stop them from calling me?

Have received several calls at on of our company's phone numbers. No one on the line. Waste of time...placed it on the No-Call list.

I received two calls (the first one I missed). The called about my membership to the American Association for the Advancement of Science, which I had not renewed. They asked if I had wanted to renew. From reading other posts, it sounds like the most likely explanation for this is that these people got a hold of people's names and phone numbers that have had memberships, subscriptions, etc to certain things and offer you a "good deal" to renew your membership so that they can then ask you for your credit card number. I have previously had calls about renewing my AAAS membership, but they have come directly from AAAS. DO NOT fall into their fishing trap.

This number has consistently been calling me for the past few weeks and I am sick of it. I let it go to voicemail but there is never a message left. They need to stop. It's annoying. I have never contributed to a nonprofit organization that would have my number in this way.

The number calls multiple times a day but there's never anyone on the line. They're calling a business and this needs to stop.

Hmm, I wonder if that is how they got my number. I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I just received a call from this number at 2:22 PM on Wednesday 2/22/12. (The 222 thing is pretty cool, huh???) They did not leave a message. I don't why I looked this number up but I am so glad that I did!! If I get another one then I will take action. Thank you 800notes!!!
