Keep calling every 3 hours... Getting mad here... text them to stop calling me. ..but that is not working any advice anybody.
I received call from this number too, claiming to be some federal grant program, when I asked rep to repeat cuz I couldn't understand, he proceeded to curse me out...at&t says fraudulent number using a "dummy service" so you can't call back
Said he was from U S treasury when I told him "yeah right" he called mr several names and hung up. Had a thick middle eastern accent. Hard to believe anyone falls for this but elderly people do
I got a guy with an Indian accent, who said that he was an adversity officer. When I said to hold for a second while I turned down the TV, he hung up. I called the number back and a voice message said the number could not be called as dialed
Got a phone call from 543-210-9876. Said they were from the us federal government. Then they hung up.
This number called, he said he was with the US Government and I qualify for a $3,000 grant that I don't have to pay back. I told him no thank you I already get grant money for school. He said it wasn't grant money for school. It was an obvious scam, so I told him I wasn't interested and hung up the phone and blocked his number.
same thing they called and said they were from the government and I said MY US government and they said FU B1tch and hung up
I received a call on 3/9/2015 from 543-210-9876. I didn't answer as I couldn't recognize the area code off hand nor do I answer a phone call from a number I do not recognize. This type of phishing seems to be more and more common. I recently received a phone call from another number, 845-582-1447, which I answered. I spoke with a man who seemingly had an Indian accent whom may have been middle aged. He stated that my email was hacked and that someone was using my email to message people in China and Africa. He continued to ask what type of devices I utilized to access my email. At that point I hung up on him. These type of calls began after I had foolishly signed up for free samples of various products on some random website I fail to remember the name of. I feel its safe to assume that that website sold my information to a third party and my information is now in the hands of scammers and phishers. Please keep in mind that this type of activity is utilized by a large network of persons often capitalizing on peoples trust, naivety and general lack of information of such circumstances. Furthermore, it is a tactic utilized by fund raisers by terrorist groups such as ISIS, Al Qaida and Hezbollah. PLEASE KEEP MONEY OUT OF THE POCKETS OF THESE SCUM OF THE EARTH!
