they called and where like they needed some information for my trip, like my credit info. but the wouldn't answer my questions....
When I answered the phone, no one was there. This seems to be happening a lot; I'm getting similar calls from different numbers. I've filed a CR complaint against the number that has called most often, since I am on the Do-not-call Registry. If they call again, they're getting a complaint filed too.
I'm sure this is a scam. I recieved a coupon voucher that credits $1,600 towards Bahama cruise plus 4 hotel vouchers to various Ramada Resorts. I called the 800 number listed, some guy attempts to befriend you and run a line of sh*t about how this is the deal of the century, said I was being offered this to promote the resort. The end of the conversation is a request to give a credit card number and charge $800 now or a credit line to pay off that total which is due to port fees & taxes but would need to do this quickly due to the first come first serve. I also have not recieved all the extras that was supposed to have been mailed to me. I have been recieving hangup calls from 561-424-0845 ever since.
Yep me too! I got my revenge by letting him talk for 40 minutes, setting phone down while I did whatever, etc mentioning mmm hmmm every few minutes. In the end I let him know I wasn't interested and he started yelling at me for wasting his time. Bwah HAHAHAHAHAH! But seriously, they just don't give up God bless em.
Thanks for taking the time and putting your message on the web.I now know who was trying to call.
Well, I'd just discovered this website 2 days ago and had a heads up on what to listen for the next time I answered. I managed to hear the word resorts before I told him the number was being reported and to take my phone number off of the list. But this is the 3rd different number I.D. that I've gotten this week and all 3 are concerning vacations. Must be the season or something!
Well i was wondering who this was, because they called my cell phone, which i have no idea how they go it, and they hung up a few days ago, and then today they called..i could hear the guy breathing..then he hung up.... here i was thinkiing it was someone i knew who was prank calling me. I called them back and they hung up on me about 8 times, and then they left the phone on, and i could hear ppl in the back ground talking to other ppl on the phone. They said "Romada Resort" and talking to a girl, and got her hooked.. then said out loud when she was off the phone "[***] indians" that was soo unprofessional. I'm just not gonna answer their phone calls now.
Asking why I recently declined a trip to the Bahamas. They then tried to offer me another free trip - they wanted my credit card number.
Likewise, I put the number in my phone as "Fraud Give Them Hell". I will be calling the right people soon to make sure their "business" goes down the drain.I actually was listening to the dude and when he kept going I said I would have to call him back and he FLIPPED OUT, as much as one can over the phone. As I am listening to this psycho harass me about how I shouldn't call him back I just hung up on him, not before he offered me another vacation. I have to say I am not usually confused by these things and the "tickets" looked soo freaking real. BUT I am not nieve so I called and listened and hung up.Yah, end of story. HA
