I too was fed up with calls like these. I believe they are network of people across the country. They buy up a block of numbers and use new ones when they get to many complaints from one of them. So I came up with my own solution. For all of You out there that have only 12 block callers like me. I decided to take one of the numbers they call from and make it the number I would forward calls to. So when a new scam number of theirs shows up I forward it to the first number. So they all can talk to each other. They can waste their own time, not mine. So here are a few numbers that they keep calling from 503-457-1194561-424-0845 971-220-1194 My phone has it where I can forward just specific calls to a number.
*THIS IS WHAT YOU DO*...IF ANY OF YOU HAVE AT&T, YOUR PHONE MAY HAVE A REJECT LIST OPTION...USE IT! I've been getting the same calls from the same number, and they do they exact same thing to me as all of you have described. When I first when to check this out, I knew it was a scam, and the manager or whoever I spoke to was, also, a little nasty when he found out I didn't want anything to do with it. If nothing else, call your phone/cell phone company. There may be something they can do.
this scam is really old. 18 years ago when my husband and I got married. We had no clue. We fell for one of these free trip scams. We paid $300 of our hard earned money back then. We never ever heard from them again. We chalked it up to lesson learned never again.
I received a call at work with an automated "political survey" of 3 questions, then the opportunity to receive a free cruise to the Bahamas - paying only $118 for the port tax with 18 months to use the tickets. I was skeptical, and took advantage of the three-way call to phone my husband after the guy from the "cruise line" said I had to purchase now or never. My husband said he wasn't interested, and almost immediately, the "customer service rep" hung up. Glad to know people are out there posting these things so suckers like me don't get taken advantage of. Thanks all!
oh yea, the free trips with "no obligation or strings attached" i got the same letter so i called right know i was wasting my time, refused, because it was $499 aperson and you have to get your own transportation to the place or origin, i can buy a trip for less than that. Now I get the same annowing phone calls. what do i do?
also - They said they were located in Palm Beach, FL and gave me a website to look at while I "waited for the three way call to connect" www.2012getaway.com
I just received a call from him, the same number! Some weeks ago, I received a free cruise by the mail. I called the number 1-800 and a women ask me my phone number. I asked many questions and she passed me at an another men who tell me all the time: Congratulations you win a free cruise. I always repeated: Why I win? Why do you have my id? The men passed me at another men who told me that I didnt have to care how I win. He ask me to accept the price. I must accept right now. I told him that if I really won, no one would asked me to accept anything rigtht now. And he hang up the phone...Now I got call from Floride. Sorry for my english!
