That was supposed to say I don't believe this number is legitimate at all, since the social security office didn't recognize the number themselves.
I also just received a call from 570-831-1296, she claimed I didn't finish filling out a form for health care coverage in regards to my Medicare. Her first question was "How much money do you have in your bank account, checking and savings". I asked her to send me something in the mail. We'll see if I get anything or not.
570-831-1296 caller ID says US Government... at 10:15 PM...!?! Clearly, this is a scam call. I recently put something for sale on Craig's List and I did respond to one interested buyer e-mail with my phone number. It is possible that this is how they got my number.
I live in Tennessee. Why would a Social Security office in PA. call me? Btw, didn't answer it as I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

What alerted me was they asked me for my SS# to verify they were talking to me. I understand SS NEVER asks for a SS# over the phone.
