this number just called my cell phone. its easter sunday morning 8:43 am. i did not answer

I received a call from 587-332-0850 Apr 07/12 at 1931(or 7:31 pm) I didn't aswer as I don't answer numbers that I don't recognize. I live in Prince Albert Saskatchewan so obviously it's not just BC. or Ont. they are targetting. These companies have hundreds of people working for them so it makes sense that they could target every province without having to worry about being backlogged.

there is no 587 area code in Alberta. this will be a spoofing number for crooks

My phone lists Venzuela as the location. So odds are it is a scam attempt, since I do no business there. If it were to be a valid collection agency they are required to send written notice within 5 days of calling you. Tell them this and hang up.

THEY CALLED ME JUST NOW ITS A CALGARY BASED NUMBER CALLING FROM AND OVER SEAS CALL CENTER..... HMMMMM WEIRD RITE

Not weird because the callers can spoof the number which is probably what they did here. I got a call from one of those Indian tech support scammers and they were using the 778 area code. Of course, theyweren't in BC. I got the call too and I didn't answer.

I received this call on my cell... i did not answer it because it came up as +58 73320850 and was not about to answer it as it looks like an overseas number, but not enough numbers.... they did not leave a voice message... This is one of the reasons I have a cell phone, so I don't get stupid unknown callers!!!

Folks, whoever's doing this is robocalling. They're trying all the numbers on a known exchange. I got one while driving back this evening (didn't answer) and the fact that other people who are reporting this number on this site live in my area, I can say that they're targeting our area code tonight. Don't answer if you get a call from this number.

Just got a call from this number (778 area code), didn't pick up, glad I didn't, no message.

Don't ever pick up unknown calls. People send autodialers out to dial a set of numbers, then they log people that actually pick up. That info is then sold to actual telemarketers, so it'll only result in more calls.My rule of thumb is pretty simple. If it's that important, people will leave a message or text.
