Just play a game with these idiots. I entertain my kids by making fun of these morons. Wait until you get a live operator on the line and tell them you are going to go get your credit card (presumably to share your info) and then just put the phone down. See how long it takes them to realize you're not coming back. My record is 4 min. 53 sec. If everybody wasted their time maybe they would just give it up.
I keep getting calls about my (Non existent ) Credit cards. Finally I googled the numberis located in Vancouver, British Columbia. Its exchange 251 is managed by TELUS.The number is currently on switch number VANCBC03DS1 (switch is a technical specification for phone hobbyists) .
I just got a call from 604-251-1333. I freaked out a bit as I AM in some debt, but my mother pays for my landline and she travels a lot so telemarketers call frequently asking for donations from her sometimes. I know that debt collectors know better than to have their caller i.d. show up when they call someone looking for money too. The scammers...not as bright. The name was M McGee as well! She had a British accent which was smart though...I think the stereotype when we hear an English accent is they are superior, intelligent and authoritative.
It's a pattern of calls that I received. Every few months, it start with a number of survey calls from different companies(sometime I got 4 to 5 different survey company within a single day), I bought lotto every week for more than 10 years and never win anything, not even a free ticket. I doubt about my luck with all these survey companies. After a week or two from all theses survey calls then the next wave will be air duct cleaner, home alarm system, cruise vacation, windows & doors or lower credit card interest. Final stage will be a collection agency's phone call....asking someone that I don't even know or met. I live all by myself with no debt, no late payment. I just don't know why I become a popular person or phone number for these agency to call me and harass me. Don't know why my number associate with all these people who run away from their debt. If the agent use their brain to think...for someone run away form their debt, will they tell anyone (especially to a total stranger) where they are going to hide??I think all these air duct, home alarm, cruise vacation, windows & doors or cc reduction are the foot soldier working for a collection agency. First, who would spoof a number just to call a small number of people, not even more than a handful of complaints a day.Second, callers always very rude.Third, the time zone.Fourth, when you file complaint to CRTC, not much help.(don't tell me CRTC cannot track these people down. ever heard of "Automatic Number Identification".)I think that's a give away.well, I already got a few survey companies called me...I ask who is funding for those survey...no one can answer me. Now this....so I think the agency will call soon...by then I can update everyone here who is behind all this calls and who they are looking for.
I am reporting this fraudulent credit card company. When I answer calls from this #, it says "This is an important message from your credit card company"It's a robo call and very unwelcom.
I am getting calls from this number every evening! Ticks me off no end, and the fact that I can't control how other people use technology that is supposed to be for my convenience leaves me livid. I am seriously considering cancelling my land line and only turning my cell on when I want to use it. The scumbags of the world shouldn't be able to force people into these situations.
