You guys have it all wrong where telemarketers are concerned.What you do is:- When they call you say, "Give me your home number and I'll call you back later when you're off work and we'll talk about it - oh, you don't like being called at home? Me neither." - and hang up.or"Sure, just hang on a minute." - and then set the phone down (still connected) and just never pick it up again; for this I usually put it right next to the TV, and turn up the sound. A good war movie or some such works great for this.or Go into the bathroom and make all the usual sounds that you make there, all the while grunting "Uh huh" and "ooohhh" and whatnot, and "sorry, just squeezing out a real big one here on the toilet - go on" and "oh sorry, could you say that again, I was kinda distracted" and just keep messing with them over and over. Make sure you hold the phone real close when you flush (good cue to hang up).or Pretend you're the most hard of hearing and senile old person imaginable - continually squawk "What?" in a croony old voice like you're deaf - and then talk to them like you think they're some relative and have a completely different conversation with them (cause your confused) about 'family matters', such as what to do with Grandad's ashes or something - or talk about your visits with the doctor, how many pills you have to take, about how happy you were that you had a bowel movement, etc....You might as well entertain yourself and have a good time with it - your imagination can really have some fun with this....
604 310 2255 - Telus telemarketing . Instead of finding out why their services have been abandoned, Telus management never bothered to officially approach me why I left. I thought an exit interview was management's job. Instead, they leave my name and number to their poor telemarketers to work on me. This service is free to Telus who only provide a free line for these poor souls.They will never know why I left and they couldn't care or less. They would never know that their out of control technical support service had the nerve to switch off my entire service, i.e. phone, and alarm service when they could not solve the problem of my ADSL modem being non compatible to their old line for my home at that time. Fire these managers and get some new blood in.
Received one of numerous calls again tonight from 604-310-2255. Call display says TELUS. Maybe it's time to make a complaint in the media???!!!!!.
Sorry, forgot about this one:Have a referee's whistle or some such, and blow it real loud into the phone (and their ears).
They are phoning again - last night at 8pm, today at 2.05 pm. Who cares. I just put my fax on. Sorry telemarketers. U keep wasting your time.
this number keeps calling. i don't answer and when it goes to voicemail they unknowingly leave a message like they don't understand what an answering machine is. All I get on the recording is "hello... hello hi hello? you can hear me?...." its different people each time with an heavy accent and poor english. The comments above say this is a Telus telemarketer? They should teach their employees english first
Telus lost me bcz they switched off my services when I laughed at their incompetence in not being able to solve my ADSL connection when they first offered this service. Now they keep on phoning day and night Latest calls : 8pmJUN7, and 2.05pmJUN8
I finally answered after seeing this number on my call display for a month. As I stated above they kept leaving messages on my answering machine like they don't know it's an answering machine (eg "hello? hello? are you there? can you hear me?") Each time its someone different with poor english.So I finally answered and no one was there, but i could hear some noise in the background so i stayed on the line. I said hello a couple more times and after 20 seconds they finally spoke. I said "hello"She said "hello" I said "hello" She said "hello"I said "hi..?" She said "hello" AGAIN! I said "can i help you?"She said "hello" ... omg... I finally said impatiently "WHAT DO YOU WANT?' She said "can i speak to the woman of the household?"I said "are you a telemarketer?' she said... "hello..?" (I wanna smack this [***])I said "take me off your list"She said a bunch of stuff I didn't understand so I hung up.Everyone says this is a TELUS telemarketer but they must have higher standards than that don't they? And why would Telus ask for the "woman of the household"?Anyways, I'm gonna be p*ssed if they call back after this.
Keep getting these call from Telus telemarketing, guy does not take NO for an answer, not interested and told them to stop calling me but now it seems they call everyday, getting real pissed off. Finally tried calling 1-800-576-0000, option #1 and after being on hold for a little while, spoke to a nice person at Telus and was told that she will remove these marketing calls within 3 business days. Now lets hope for the best..
