Credit card Scammers are calling again .....Consider yourselves BLOCKED again. @$$&&&&&
Right on! Thanks to bushwah too. I don't answer calls that I don't recognize the callers or have no caller names. Now that I know their purpose for calling, thanks to bushwah, I've blocked that #. Of course they can always fake a different #. :(
Credit card scammers. Don't press 1 for a person or 9 to remove from their list (by selecting 9 they know it is a legit number to call again or pass to other telemarketers), just don't say anything the voice may activate a transfer to a crook, don't press anything let them eat dead air (mess the robo call app queue). It's this time of year when people are looking at their budget (debts) for tax and these crooks prey on your susceptibility. If they make it sound too good to be true...correct it's not true, don't fall for it.
Every other freaking day they call, have asked numerous time to be removed from call list, ya right. I've kept them on the line for half an hour at a time asking questions, regarding my credit card, give them bank, expiry date etc....and keep them going (so not to make quota for calls), they have all my info in front of them and then I ask all kinds of questions regarding my account....bottom line......I DO NOT HAVE A CREDIT CARD!!!!!!!!!!!
I just received a call on my mother's phone from an East Indian male who claims his name is Alex and I told home I don't believe his scam. He said he was coming over to [***] me. Once he figures i ain't buying his credit card scam. He also said I have two holes for him to choose. I said I have a tape recorder on and he said I know I know and continued to describe his foul intentions. If this man comes over he will be surprised to find he has two holes too.
Meh. No message left. But with a phone number like this, I wouldn't have answered it anyway. When I do answer, it's with an air horn in their ears. After doing that a few times, they don't call back. No air horn handy you say? Grab one of your smoke detectors and press the "test" button while holding it to the phone. I guarantee you they will stop calling at some point. ALWAYS works for me.
yup, thats how they work!, if it is inportant enough a message will be left, if no message is left then you did the right thing, the one to look out for are , tricking you into giving them your card number for a lower intrest rate, calling and saying you have a virus on you computer and them try to take you on a step by step to fix your pc, but nothing is wong with your pc, till you fallow them, thern they ask you for credit card to fix it holding you computer for ransom. the grand child in a accident looking for money to to settle insurance rather then court, and to keep it to your self and not say anything to mom or dad. and another one is a free boat cruise, then again to claim the prize they want a credit card number . for that one i get called evey month, 12 free boat cruises a year, wow. i should be playing the loto for being so lucy, yeah right lol
yes, those out of country call centers have every unlisted number at their disposal, funny how the crtc dont do anything, or are they at the same call center, hmmmm
