***WARNING*** DO NOT CALL THIS "604" NUMBER! !! A deplorable scammer stealing $$ from unsuspecting victims who dial the easily remembered phone number, after it quickly displays on one call display. The victim is automatically billed a non-refundable user fee by simply dialling the number, followed with any connection made. This very phone number was viewed on my TV's caller display quite late one evening last week (for a few seconds, with no phone call ring, nor display on my landline phone). I immediately recognized the number to be British Columbia Directory Assistance ("411" ), which is programmed by a Telecommunications Company for "incoming calls only".Also I next thought it must be some scammer who changed their "outgoing phone number display" ...possibly done offshore... or another region in N.America... by some unscrupulous person / company's attempt to make /steal money. NO NEED TO CALL DIRECTORY ASSISTANCE... Just go online and do a Search on Browser, by entering a phone number for "reverse phone number" find, or enter Name and City to locate a possible phone number listing... All for FREE!

These ***s have called once too often. I am filing a report with DO NOT CALL LIST AND TELLING THEM I AM BEING HARASSED AT ALL HOURS AND I WANT IT TO END RIGHT NOW. I WANT THEM CHARGED.

Where are the consumers protection agency? This scam has been going for so long and from the same number. I begin to believe that there is a conspiracy to steal Canadian citizens to fill the government coffers.
