Number just called my cell. I don't answer numbers that I do not have in my contact list and do not give my cell number out to anyone I do not know. The left a blank voice message. I tried calling it back from another line, it says the number is not valid. I have added it to my cell's incoming call block list.

They called from this number on a cell - unfair.

Online search pulls up this:OTTAWA — Beware a new cell phone scam. Ottawa Police Lt. Adam Weingartner said an Ottawa detective received a cell-phone call from 605-939-2424. The call was a computerized woman’s voice speaking Spanish. Weingartner said that apparently cell phones all over the country are being targeted. People who answer are being billed for several minutes even those they hung up after a few seconds, he said.Tuesday, Feb. 1, 11 a.m.I just added them to my blocked call list.

Just got called from this number. Didnt answer, no message.

They call me every 3 weeks or so, always the same gibberish in Spanish.

I have now received two calls from this number and no message left. I too don't answer unrecognized calls.

Same Here...No message left, I blocked the number from calling me through my cell carrier!

There are many of these calls, no ID is possible. Isn't there a way to stop this?

2/2/2011...........called my cell, only person in this world that knows this cell number is my daughter!Wasn't her! Not even close to the (CT) area code. Same sh it used to happen when I had Vonage.Nothing to be "Scared" of. It's a "spoofed" phone dialer. Somehow or another they get a real persons phone number then use that as a "piggy back" to phone bomb us. The Do not call means nothing to them! They prollly aren't even in the US! Just ignore the a ss holes.

Received call on 3/15/2012 at 2:11 p.m. Don't know what they wanted as no one in our household speaks Spanish! Hung up as soon as I could.
