Caller called me by my full name and I said yes it is. Hung up. Called back the number but keep getting a busy signal.

How many times should I tell the same person "The person you're looking for no longer works here?" Like talking to a brick wall.

Got the call on my work line, I did not answer. Googled and see all this, glad I didn't answer!

Definitely a scam. Caller's name was Caroline Rova. When I asked the person she was trying to reach if they were a sales call, they confirmed it. He said he didn't deal with companies like that.

Received call on my cell and my desk line at work - poor connection and heavy accent hung up both times after I asked what the call was about - total scam - called from 607-590-2105 Hornell NY.

Had these calls before. Was working from home that day. Took an alarm clock and set if off near the receiver. Told him it was the file alarm and that it looked the building was s total loss and we'd have to go out of business. The time before that I tried to sell him my product...that was hilarious, but also a waste of time. They must be making money off someone or they wouldn't be calling so tenaciously. At this point, I don't answer their calls. My colleagues know to leave me a message, which these overseas goofballs will never do.

As stated by others, they call every day, regardless of how many different ways you tell them to GET LOST! I've finally started answering when I see their # and say something to the effect of "Man, I've been trying to get hold of you forever! Your test results came back and things look really bad..." Usually results in a short call.

They don't need a "sophisticated sound level blocker", just a standard phone. Modern phone systems don't allow transmission of sounds at a harmful level. You did more damage to your own ears than theirs.

Called asking for someone in our IT dept. Called sounded sketchy so I told them he was out of office and I can take name and number down. He hung up.

I get about 4 to 7 calls per week from this number, with different subject material (servers, services, part-time staffers, desktops, etc.) There is always a delay between the time I say Hello and someone comes on the line.
