This is a secret shopper call. Making a simple process hard for customer service agents. They cause you to lose your job. I wish Citibank would do things differently. Thinking about not doing business with them.
Citi Mastercard credit card was compromised and they were calling to confirm. I called them back after they left a voicemail.
This was a legitimate call from Citi bank. I had out a hold on my card, and they were calling to see if I had found the card.
I don't work for Citi bank. I am just a concerned credit card holder. You should get your facts straight!
Pretending to be mortgage servicer.Telling lies that the loan modification is approved. That your on a three month trial. LIAR LIAR LIAR JEHOVAH WILL SEE WHO YOU REALLY ARE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 334
Missed the call, but they left a message. Tammy from best buy credit services, wanted me to call 1-888-908-0031 at my earliest convenience and gave me a confirmation/ pending number or reference number. Called the number given in the message and it sounds like the recording when I called days before when I applied for a best buy credit card. When I applied for a best buy card days before I was notified that I was not immediately approved.
I received a message on my voicemail from a woman who said she was calling to verify my application for a Best Buy credit card. I had NOT applied for a Best Buy credit card, so I was worried that someone was trying to steal my identity. The message said to call 888-908-0031 and gave me a reference number and security code to refer to. I didn't trust that this was a legit call, so instead of calling the number she gave me, I called Best Buy customer service directly and got directed to their credit card department. It turns out that the call was indeed from Citibank (Best Buy credit cards are issued by Citibank), and someone was indeed trying to get a credit card using my identity. They cancelled the fraudulent credit application and connected me with their fraud department, and Transunion, to help me to file a fraud alert with the credit reporting services to avoid future identity theft. So, at least for me, this was a legitimate call from Citibank.
