I've been using nomorobo for many months. Today (8/16) was the first time I got a call from 608-371-6666. Searching on the number does bring up a page that says it's from Nomorobo. Not sure I believe that. If Nomorobo's number can be scammed, certainly its web presence can be.
I keep getting calls from this number saying that my computer is being breached! I have multiple virus protections on it, so I know that it's not true. Looks like this number is being given out to various scams. And I do have nomorobo on my phone so I did receive two calls in rapid succession. Thanks for that explanation. I will now call block this number!
Got thru my NoMoRoBo - asked for me by name and said they were from Greenpeace. Ah...really? As I've gotten calls from this number allegedly from other entities...
This call and then another, probably the same criminal. This has to end. If you block all the numbers, they will find more, and more and on and on.
Two attempts that were blocked by nomorobo and then 2 minutes got through with this number. I unplugged the phone.
Same story here. It was someone I deal with and someone nomorobo picked it up as a possible robo call. This is only the third time it has happened in like 6 months.
Called once and went to nomorobo, called immediately back from this number and asked if I knew Jose who lived nextdoor and when was the last time I saw him. Told the woman we were not friendly so I had no info. She thanked me and hung up, I immediately went to nomorobo on Spectrum and added the number.
This is indeed a number for NMR... it states on their site:"To ensure that we don't block important calls made by humans, when a suspectcalls you, we answer the call and play . If the caller successfully , we send the call back to you but we change the Caller id to 608-371-6666."So if the 608 number shows up on caller ID about a minute after an unknown number... it doesn't mean it's not a telemarketer or scammer, it just means it's an actual person, not a recording.
I just got this call, so they're at it again. Thought I'd report it since no one seems to have been hit in over a week.Same story. I first got a call from "ILLINOIS POLICE" from 815-516-0966 and seconds later from "Unavailable" from 608-371-6666. I was surprised that nomorobo didn't catch the 608-371-6666 number until I read above. Time to get a CPR and 20 other devices.

Calls once or twice per week with voice msg "Brandon from CTS" call me back. WTF is CTS? No context, no real msg.
Phone number calls multiple times a day, once someone from my office picks up, it is dead silence on the other line. When you try to call back, it is a number that is not in service.
