Someone called me from this number and LIED. They said my friend had put me down as a reference and had me verify all this information. When I asked her what was I a reference for she said she couldn't tell me. I didn't think these people were allowed to lie like that.
They violated the fair credit collection act or whatever the official name of it is by threatening you with wage garnishment. you should report them to the FTC for starters and the BBB couldn't hurt either.
Someone just called me from that number. I didn't answer because I live in Canada and the number originated in Ohio, I don't know anyone there. I googled it and found this site. Can anyone tell me if they will persist with their calls, or if they try you once and you don't answer they leave you alone?
I missed a call from this number (614-717-4395) yesterday and since I didn't recognize the number and don't have a lot of minutes on my phone I did not call back. Today I googled the number to see who it could be and lo and behold am I ever glad I didn't answer! It must be a collection agency because my phone is in my mother's name who is in a lot of debt because of my dad.
This number calls my phone every day, but never leaves a message. I don't return the calls.
I also noticed they didn't leave a message which leads me to believe they are afraid of being recorded. After reading all of this, these people are afraid for good reason.
Received 2 calls last night from 614-717-4395. Glad I didn't answer. They make it look like they are an employment agency based on the name "Outsourcing Solutions". I'm glad I found your posts so I know not to answer their calls. Who needs this kind of harassment? Nobody!! Thanks for your posts, I'll be sure not to answer them.
I'm an Executive assistant and they asked my work phone asking to be transfered to someone who could verify employment. It was a female - since we dont do HR in house I gave her the phone number but she didnt say where she was from or who she was calling for. I called back and it was busy.
Exec Asst from above - Same phone number except a guy called this time. He said he was calling from MCO financial and had a file of one our employees. I told him that a lady had called earlier today from his phone number to verify employement and he was like OH. really?! I don't see that marked in his file. He then began asking me if a George Walker worked in our office when I said no he said well I believe he works out of your georgia office so can I talk to HR. I explained we dont have a Georgia office and I was the closest thing to HR we had, he got flustered and said oh ok, bye.
