OSI began closing their branch offices and may not survive. As with all large agencies, they have GREAT difficulty in complying with FDCPA and FCRA requirements. The problem with them is credibility. These calls certainly come from a collection agency (OSI). Just screen your calls (don't recognize the number, don't answer). If you do inadvertently answer, they will attempt to make you upset or mad, simply, do not allow this to happen. They will also threaten to sue. Whatever! All they are trying to do it get your personal or banking information. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!

This company is OSI is the largest debt collection in the world. I used to work for them in Arizona when I was in College. They had me collecting on repossessed vehicles. Yes, they had me calling people that had their car repo over tens prior (Way past the Statute of Limitations for any state) Our team was good and some the collectors were very unethical. They are some the toughest collectors in the world making commissions on average of about $125000.00 per collector... If, they call you hang up, dont send them a dime... If, you send them even one dollar the statute of limitations starts over and you will be paying that bill.... They will violate your rights....

Received a call from 614-717-4395 "OUTSOURCING SOL". Apparently like everyone else...the unidentified female asked for Tiffany. When I got my current number, I used to get calls like this weekly, so I recognized the name. After a couple years they tapered off. Todays call was little different. I very politely told the female that Tiffany is no longer at this number and has not been for nearly 10 years. She then asked for my name. I again stated Tiffany is not at this number and before I could finish, her tone got VERY aggressive, she got much louder, and rudely demanded my name. I politely stated I am the person who pays the phone bill and that she did not need my name and asked her to remove my number from her call list. Again, she cut me off and was practically yelling into the phone demanding my name. She then had the audacity to ask me why I was being so rude. I stated that I was tired of being abused by collectors and she began yelling some 'disclaimer' type statement about the call being monitored or recorded for quality assurance. I politely asked to speak to her supervisor and she yelled something like, sure, then put me on hold. After a few minutes I got tired of hearing the recording telling me it would be a long wait due to high call volume so I hung up. I would love to see serious legal action stop these types of calls but I don't have a name, a company, or anything else to go on. Any help or info would be appreciated.

I receive calls from this number to my cell phone on a regular basis. I never answer and they rarely leave a voicemail. This morning at about 8:30 they called and I didn't answer, but they left a message. The guy told me that I had to all him back because "we will take further legal actions". He then said that it was in regaurds to me working for a company (that I worked for almost 10 years ago) and my taxes. I have always filed my taxes, and I know that at that time I was very diligent about doing so, because I was in college, and needed the info to get my student loans and grants. He left an 800 number but I didn't write it down. I'm sure he will be calling me back today, and I plan to answer and read him some of these reports and see where it goes.

Yeah, they called me twice in the last half hour. I can't wait to buy a foghorn...

Been getting many calls from 614-717-4395 (including 8am on Saturday). They know my name and immediately ask for my birth date or last four of social. Everytime I argue with them, that I don't know who they are, that I am not giving this info to a stranger, and tell them not to call anymore. Today, when I told off the guy and that I was angry, he said in that case they will call every day. I called the FTC (they are very lame), said they have taken actions against NCO Financial before, but suggested I call my congressman, whose level is over the FTC. I keep trying to reach managers there, leaving voicemails: Ray Milner, Dan Raglin, Christopher Schwind, Eugene Corn(sp?). Christopher Schwind is Director of Operations for NCO, with them 3 yrs, and has profile on internet. Went to Medaille College and Columbus State, worked at ECM prior for 6 years. They are all based in Dublin, Ohio, in the Columbus metro area. There address is 5626 Frantz Road, Dublin. Eugene said their doors are open. I will keep after these guys and dig up information on them, since they are threatening me and trying to find out my birthdate and social numbers.

I keep receiving a call from this number and they never leave a message. Is there a way to block them from my phone?

Yes if you get a class action against these people let me in on it.
