This is a legit number. Many doctors through Vanderbilt have this type of prefix. Its to schedule appts, referrals, etc

All outbound calls from Vanderbilt University's main campus use this trunk line.

Mysterious calls from Vanderbilt University Trunk Line are not mysterious. The 615-343-0473 telephone number along with several other combinations are know as a generic phone number that displays on all caller ID systems when a call is received from Vanderbilt University. There is no way to tell the exact location of the phone the call came from. Unless there is some type of communication coming from a person calling from Vanderbilt, which would lead you to believe that a crime has been or is about to be committed, it would be safe to say that you could disregard the calls as a wrong number. If something is said that leads you to believe that the caller is a harassing or threatening caller you should report the calls to the University Police.
The phone number shows up when someone calls you from the hospital, as well as the university. Some offices within the hospital (Hillsboro Medical Group) for example, have their own trunk line that shows up, but 343-0473 is the "default, everyone falls on it" trunk. I see it show up when anyone calls me from the campus, including for appointment reminders.

just got a call from 888-431-7820. Told me I was breach of contract. Very hard to understand the lady. I dont have a contract with anyone that I know of. When I look to see the number call it tells me Claim Services.
