I got this call and out of curiosity I answered it. No one talked so I called it and got the same message as you about mailbox not set up. I can't understand the reason these callers call at all. I will block this call. Just seems crazy for a telemarketer to do this. What does it have to gain?
Received a call on my verizon cell phone from 617-356-4651 on May 27th at 1p. I did not answer it, after looking up the # on this site. They did not leave a message.
Got a call from 617-356-4651 this afternoon on my cell phone. I don't answer calls from numbers that I don't recognize so I let it go to voice mail but the caller did not leave any message. But after reading the previous posts about this number I'm glad I didn't answer the call.
This Caller tried both landline and cell numbers at our household, didn't bother answering and blocked them.
So these folks just called about my free cruise to the Bahamas, all I had to do was take a Scientific Survey. I hung up and blocked the number. I put all numbers associated with myself & family on the DNC list again a little over 2 months ago.
May I ask you what panasonic did you buy? I have a fairly new panasonic mobile phone but it did not have that feature ....so sad I didn't see that....I'm on the DNC but still get 4-6 of these calls a day. thank you for sharing this info...it may be worth while to get new phones....
We got a call from this number today at 10:36 am and didn't answer. The caller ID was MASSACHUSETTS. No voice mail message was left. The number is spoofed, because when I called back (our number is hidden by default on outgoing messages) a recording stated that it was a Verizon wireless number which "has been changed, disconnected, or is no longer in service". It will be added to our call blocker. I highly recommend such a device to avoid these nuisances.
The list does work but the ones who break the rules are thugs. Legitimate companies don't break the rules. I have also had a surge of callers recently too. If I don't know the number, I don't answer, but I have been tricked a few times too.

I received a text with this phone number stating that it was from the United States Postal Service and that I needed to open up an urgent notice from them.
called and then hung up, left him a kurt voicemail about wasting peoples time. scammers are prevalent, be careful and don't answer this call

It is a legit PNC Bank phone no. I wrote out a $12000. check and they called to verify and had the last 3 digits of checking acct. on message.
