Got a call from them today and when I asked how they got my number the guy rudely sighed and hung up on me.
Thank you all so much for your feedback I have been getting numerous phone calls from 617 714 0978, after reading these posts decided to call back. Sure enough, # is not a # in service. So sad to see people would stoop so low to try and harass hard working citizens. I truly appreciate everyone taking their time post here on this blog. My spouse would have killed me if I gave out any info lol I owe my identity to you all!! :) says the company is mnj technologies calling from Cambridge ma. I never answered and my vm box is full so no vm's received from the caller. Thank you all again!
Just got a call form this number, he had an Indian accent, and said that my `phone number` won a vacation `totally free, I am not customer I am a winner`. When I asked where he got my phone number he said `I must have filled an application form through online services within the past year`, I knew that this was a scam but I continued to let him talk, he said that he is from `Royal Vacations Company` and he offered me choose from 5 different cruise options, without asking my name or any information, he said that he would send a confirmation to my email address, then he said that I have to pick the trip information from a location in Independence OH near Cleveland Clinic. My number has a 216 area code (lived in Cleveland but now living in Florida, obviously he did not know), I told him that I will come an pick it up at some point in the next 6 months, he said that his `senior manager` would call me and then he hung up. Never called again.
Amazing how many different scams are coming from this phone number. Indian guy (real guy, not robot) telling me I filled out a ballot for a free trip around Xmas time. A ballot? really? Anyhow, I told him no way and he said "it was a long time ago, you probably forgot". I told him I don't forget anything. He then said "maybe it was another family member". I told him none of us are that stupid. He then said "have a nice day" and hung up.
Said my computer is sending error messages to them. They get pissy when I tell them they are just trying to get money by letting them acces my computer. Wham I asked which computer, they asked which one and got pissy when I told them to tell me which one.
