Said they were calling from the U.S. Government and that the Government selected my name to receive $7,000.00. I hung up.
I get a call from them about 2-5 times a day. I have blocked them and my caller ID say overseas [***].
Seems they're still at it... Call, (on my cell) from Cambridge, MA, didn't answer, no msg left. I never answer calls I don't recognize. Checked this site- Obvious Scam, Blocked the number. Stay safe people, never give out your info over the phone. Thanks for all the tips!
Just recvd call from this number, let it go to vm. Does appear to be some sort of tele scammer using an automated system.
Thanks for the heads up fellow 800Notes people. I let it go to voice mail and they mumbled something about a limited time offer that would expire in January 2017. Ha ha. Deleted and blocked. At this rate, half my address book will be blocked numbers!
I just received a call from this number and a man with a very strong middle Easter accent said he was with *unknown* Computer Company and he was calling about my computer. I responded, "Oh, really?" Then, he responded, "No, I'm kidding. [***] off." At that time I just hung up on him.
They called and said that we downloaded a new file on our computer and it was a Trojan and we needed to call back to get it fixed
