I'm actually in awe of all the dumb people on here. Rose Int. is NOT a scam! I have been working with them for Bank of America for about two months now! Who ever said that BOA does their own recruiting is saying the truth but MOST of their recruiting is done by staffing agencies. They only ask for your SSN when they have to submit the background check! Maybe if a few of you had called them back without getting freaked out by the fact that the person on the other line is from India than you would have gotten the job with an opportunity of becoming a permanent employee!
Under no circumstances should a "recruiter" cold call you and ask for your SSN. Not the first 4 or the last 5. This above message from Rose Recruiter is so full of crap you need a doggy bag just to listen to it. This is another one of the many phone numbers to put in your SPAM folders.
You guys are idiots. My sister works at the Rose corp office here in STL. They are a truly legit company that mainly places highly qualified IT jobs around the world at places like Mastercard and Disney as well as a host of other fortune 500 companies. They also place some lower end jobs for big companies like Bank of America. Yeah, recruiters can be annoying, but odds are if Rose is calling you (especially for an IT position) its for a really good opportunity. They are owned by an Inian couple and have offices all over the US and India.
I confirmed that the position they were offering doesn't exist. The company is under investigation.
It would make sense for anyone that does a background check, to ask for signature first. Regardless of the country they are in, they should adhere to proper procedures in the USA. If Rose sincerely wants to hire good people. then Rose should learn how to recruit properly. Once again, we give in too quick because of need and fear. So much confusion on this company.
Ummmm...yeah. I'm in Information Security. I work at the tech university in Pasadena, maybe you've heard of them. Anyway, are you out of your [***] mind?!?! Never give your SSN to someone you don't know over the phone. If you think that's ever a good idea then I can't help you and there is nothing more to talk about. Good luck!
The recruiting game these days is mainly made up of ex telemarketers from India and China. Some of these guys are downright nasty that you do not want to talk to them about an out of state job paying half what you are making now. I'm talking collection agency nasty, so better to let them go to voice mail and just listen to the numbers you recognize. If you are posting on job sites I would recommend either getting Google Voice or a Magic Jack number so you can screen your calls. Google is a free service and is great for this since it lets you white list your phone to only allow though the people on your approved list. The rest can be made to give their name and wait for you to decide to talk to them. You can even black list them so your phone never rings and give groups of numbers personalized messages. WONDERFUL! Great for collections agencies looking for on ex or the guy that used to have your phone number too.Oh and it should go without saying but NEVER use you main email address on these sites unless you want most of your email to be about out of state drug scams.
All of you are idiots and paranoid for not taking the Rose jobs.. I got called by Rose one morning.. I had to say, I was a little sketched out by the SSN asking.. but I didn’t care. I now work for ATT and make 18/hr. If you need a job and are so afraid of taking a risk, stop freaking posting your stuff all over the internet.. Rose International is a legit company.. Stop being paranoid and take the freaking job!!!!
Man it is some real idiots on this page... Rose intenational is a great recruiting company and if they have called you that means that you have posted your resume and made it public on some job site Career Builder, Monster, Dice...etc. They are out here to help you not hurt you. I got a call from Nicole Walker from Rose International about a position wih Bank of America that she was recruiting for that paid $20.00 an hour I was employed at the tme seeking employment in mortgage industry because were I worked I was being under paid making only 11.73 an hour. I faxed the information over that she sent to my email and within a week later she called me saying Bank of America would like to set up an interview with me. True enough they only recruit for temp-to-hire positions but I was willing to take that chance with that much of a pay increase. My paychecks were issued from Rose international not Bank of America because I was technically not a BOA employee and was paid every week. Long story short my contract lasted 3 months and I was asked to go permanent and I accepted and now I am a proud BOA employee making 22.00 an hour because the actually BOA paya a little more than the recruiting agency.
