Rose International must me a scam. If not, someone is usong their public face to purpertrate the scam. I have absolute NO banking experience, yet they said I was a prime candidate for a executive public loan officer position with Bank of America. After my name and address was asked for, which was stoopid because they said I had already passed their pre screeningthey, they asked for my SSN for " additional screening purposes" about 90 seconds into the call. When I told them I had a Masters Degree in Engineering, the partial English speaking guy on the phone, with the name Thomas said that degree is exactly what BofA was looking for in a candidate. In this instance I played along and told Thomas it would take mid six figures a year and 30 days of PTO and expense account before I would even consider such a position, which I really was not. He seemed to salivate on the other end saying I would work from home AND have a company car as well. I laughed and hung up.
And they (Pionear) DID ask for my social security number when calling about a BoA job. I didn't answer the 636-231-3864 number today. I've been getting so many long-distance calls from so-called job placement agencies! Decided to check it out here first and was surprised to see BoA mentioned, considering last month's experience.
I also received a call from and strong accented guy named Marvin. He asked me to send my resume to him to go over. He said he had a job starting immediately at Bank of America for $20 hour. He then ask me some questions about my resume and then ask for my SSN!! I immediately knew he was a scammer and told him this much and he then referred me to his supervisor! I hung up the phone and researched the company he was calling me from. Rose International turn up and he had a career builder email address!! These guys are getting good!! But NEVER give your social out on a solicited phone call!! No employer would ask for that over the phone!
Just got a call from a this number by a woman named Allie she claimed to have an open position for receptionist at a near by location. She asked for my birth month and date only said she didnt need the year. Asked my highest level of education and which high school I graduated from. I did give her that information but then she asked for last 5 digits of my SSN. Immidently that was a red flag I asked why she needed it she transferred me to another woman to explain why. The woman says they have to get your SSN to make sure the job their offering you is meant for you. It still sounded weird to me so I began to research the company after they left 3different emails about the position. This woman didn't have a Indian accent though.
I have been hired by Rose International 2 times. I've read through the first page of everyone's comments and let me just say, I have never experienced what any of you have been saying. I was first contact via email on a Friday afternoon for job posting that I did apply for on Careerbuilder. First request was for permission to submit my resume and I was provided with a detailed job description. This was from Kavi Singh. I was next contacted via email on Monday saying that they were submitting me to IKON. I received a phone call about 6 hours later stating that I had a job offer. They then emailed all the necessary documents that needed to be completed for the position. This was the FIRST time, anyone asked me from SSN and that was only for a background check and for my W4. It was a 3 week temp job that last 6 months. After I was let go, I was submitted again for an IKON job in my area and was eventually brought back a second time for a 12 week duration. I've also personally have spoken to Danita Hall with Rose and a few others. I can vouch that this company IS NOT A SCAM! Yes, some of their staff is from India, but most recruiting firms dealing in IT, do have them on staff. I know from experience dealing with other staffing firms.I've also worked for a recruiting company myself. Some large companies do ask for a social security number up from in order to run you through their system. This is how that keep track of current and past employees. What jobs you may have submitted for etc. AT&T is one of them, so is Bank of American, Ford Motor Company and Verizon. I have had prospective employers verify my employment with Rose International as well. Like I've said, they are a valid company and not a scam. They work hard and are just trying to find you a job.
Jon you obviously work for this scam company because you would not give your SSN to them or if you did they are probably running up credit cards in your name right now...lol
I got a call at 6:30 am!!!! I asked the guy (who didn't speak English worth a crap) if he understood what time it was? He tried to say "but I really wanted to talk to you in regards to this position".....I cut him off and hung up. JOKE@
Their recruiting company noticed that you had experience with their company. They don't know if you voluntarily left, was laid off, fired or what. They were trying to match job requirements and your resume fit the bill. It happens.
OMG...can you say SCHMUCK??? I applied for a position and received the email below from Chad Robertson: "There will be a background check and drug screen if you are hired. If you agree to these terms and if you are still interested, please complete the right to represent below, as well as send me a copy of your resume the last 4 of your social security number, for that is required with each submittal to make sure you are eligible for hire. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for you time. I, ________________________, give [Rose International], the exclusive right to represent me to job [#1483] [Administrative Assistant: Orlando , FL ] at Siemens."I was so desperate for a job, I didn't even think twice about submitting my info! Thankfully it was only the last 4 digits He did contact me to say that position had been filled, but he had another one available that he would submit my resume to. Again, he followed up with me stating that they canceled the job. I don't want to believe that this is all BS because Chad always followed up and responded back to me and this was after he had my info. I hate the fact that I needed something so much that I possibly did something truly stupid! UGH!
