Just received a call that woke me up at nearly 8 pm. Some woman with a heavy thick accent wanted to know if she could connect to my computer to get rid of a virus and to prevent people from hacking into my computer that she said other people had been doing to my computer already. She said that her company was Microsoft certified to do this type of call and work. When I asked her for her company name and phone number, she shrugged it off like I was asking for a million dollars. I continued to ask her for that information and when she told me that her company would prohibit her from revealing that information I told her that I had no business talking with someone who would not identify themselves with me so I hung up.

Don't bet on it. This problem is beyond the Governments control and it does no good to report the number because they will just keep spoofing or changing the number they are calling from. I read a post of a guy that bought some kind of a programmable call blocker device that he said works well from Amazon.

Had several calls from there scammers. The next time one calls you, blow a whistle in their ear.Believe me, it works!

Another call hang up at 833 am PDT (last one on July 11). I find it amazing that people interact with these crooks. Even the brilliant professionals do this? Why? You think you are wasting their time or getting even with them. You are not. Your number is then sold -- and they make money -- to other crooks. So -- you get more calls. The common sense action is do not pick up, do not interact in any way, do not call back. These spoofed numbers and stolen numbers are difficult to track down -- but report to FCC so they can maybe shut down this number. it has been going on for two years now out of New York? Obviously no one is reporting it or it would be a dead number now ... and they would switch to another.

Keep getting a call from the number 6466123456 and no one is there and when I call it back it says number does not exist/ How do I stop getting these calls. I am on a no call list

I was reading a post on another site by a guy that said he bought some kind of programmable call blocker from Amazon that came with pre-programmed scam numbers and allowed you to program in fake area codes and number used by scammers as well as any other area code or numbers you choose.

I just received a call from that 646 612 3456 number and was already skeptical because of the number. He had a thick Indian accent. I started to ask him questions and he told me his name was "Jack Miles". I started to do a few things and then just started to right down his next steps without doing it on my computer. Then he got me to that same website. www.teamviewer.com then I knew.. I told him no thank you and hung up

Claim their from Microsoft and wanting to "fix" your computer because it's sending errors over the internet. SCAM. Their trying to gain control over your computer to steal your information, DON'T answer.
