We got a message on our land line's answering machine that claimed to be from Microsoft support. I've heard of this scam, so I'm sure not going to call them back.
This number has called at least three times today. I just scream at them and they hang up. How annoying! Isn't there anywhere to report them? I tried the FTC complaint form online, but it didn't seem to fit any of the categories.
I just got a call from this number..........Caller ID did not mention Anna Cuzi or Cusi as mentioned by other folks here. It just said New York. When you reverse look up the number it says that the 646 area code is indeed NY, but that the 612 prefix is not a valid number. Anyway after reading all of these posts regarding the nature of this call, I have blocked the caller. Thanks everyone for taking the time to let us all know who this scammer is and what she is up to.
Okay, I just filled out a long form with the FCC and hopefully that will help, although somehow I doubt it.
Just got 3 calls from 646-612-3456 asking me to press ctrl+win+r. Asked who was calling and why, they said that errors on my computer had come to their attention. Went on to ask company name and location with no luck. Hung up. Called back one min later and asked for the same info finally they said Long Beach, CA. I then asked for an address when they could not provide any I hung up again. Called for a third time I then used my vast library of colorful phrases which did not seem to rattle them but let them know how I felt and hung up again. Sure would like to know who these people are. It sounded in the background that this is some sort of boiler room operation with many people on the phone must be a well organized scam. Like to know how they bounce phone numbers around to cover their tracks and how you could get to the root number of the operation.
Man called trying to remotely access my computer so that he could show me the virus that he was receiving alerts for. He had my name, my phone number and my home address.
I got a call from this number claiming to be from Microsoft about a problem with my IP address that they could show me how to fix.
I get a call from 646-612-3456 two or three times a day several times a week. Today the heavily accented Indian said he was from Global.. said my husband gave him my phone #... totally untrue and I want nothing to do with them... they are definitely nothing but trouble.. must be a scam.
