Annoying is not the word, but money making for Virgin/Bell. Check carefully your bill...
My problem is similar to your, except that my balance is in the vicinity of 500$. So that is what must attract the wolves. A fraud, that is what it is.
When I check my voicemail on Virgin Mobile Canada, it always shows an outgoing call to 1-647-383-2333. I don't know what an incoming call from this same number would mean, though.
The same problem is current in Qc province, the number used to be from Virgin(Bell). Most people don't notice it cause it does not appear in your "received call", at least for me. The only one that gains from that is Virgin. You pay cause "YOU" answer the call (it went in your mailbox), whether you answered or it was directed in your mailbox (done by Virgin(Bell). Now you have to dial in a phantom number and pay again to get nothing. If that is not a organized FRAUD, what is it? Try to get an answer from Virgin and get laughed in your face. We should set up a class action and make sure the CRTC is aware of that. By the way, whoever call you from a cell phone also get charge from your mailbox (their call was answered).

I was previously with AT&T, which was later bought by Rogers (one of the 3 majors), and then I start getting troubles, so I quit and experienced more problems with Virgin. What do you do now?
My daughter uses the phone at school (for texting to us) and she had 3 calls in the space of 5 minutes...all from this number. The calls went directly to Voicemail (which we don't have set up). We checked the phone last night, and discovered 3 OUTGOING calls to this number (at the same times as the "incoming" calls)The result is my daughter has no time on her phone now. What a rip off!!
