I received call on my cell. And ask my DOB and Address.. Really bothering me. I said why ? And hung up.

Thats something i never thought about. They spoof the number to appear to be a legit company, and use call forwarding to that number to cover themseves, setting up a future call. Thanks for identifying that.

647 is the secondry area code for the 416 area - not to "unregistered cell phones" only. I have friends who have landline numbers starting with 647.

Just received the call, picked up and no answer. Then they hung up.Luckily I can block phone numbers from calls and text messages. So this is just another one that will be added to the black list :)

Yep I just got the same call and it's from Wind Mobile. I am a Wind customer but If they want to contact me not having someone come on the phone when that automated message comes on its very strange.

I get this phone number all the time and when i answer they hang up. this must stop.

If you get a call from (647) 700-2435 and your caller ID displays 'Wind Mobile', it doesn't necessarily mean that the call is actually from Wind Mobile. Anyone with the right software installed on a cell phone, tablet, or laptop can spoof any telephone number they want.In my case, the person at the other end of the line wanted to know my PIN number. I told the stupid [***] that if she actually worked for Wind Mobile she should know my PIN number and given that 'Wind Mobile' supposedly was the party calling me (their customer), why would they need to verify my identity?These type of scammers are interested in your PIN so they can take over your account and transfer out your remaining funds to another account.DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE GIVE OUT YOUR PIN NUMBER TO ANYONE WHO CALLS YOU AND ASKS FOR IT. WIND MOBILE HAS NO REASON TO CALL YOU AND ASK FOR IT - THEY SHOULD ALREADY KNOW IT.
