I got a call from a live person that asked me to verify my ssn. I asked again, who was calling and they said Johnny from Verizon Wireless. I said it was strange, Verizon has never asked me for my ssn before, and given they were calling me on my current and active number, they should know my social security number. He got irate and threatened to call my boss about a past due bill then hung up on me after multiple attempts to get my information. I called Verizon immediately and it was not them. They did not call me and I'm not past due on any of the 6 lines I have with them.It's FRAUD - don't give out any information!

I received several calls from this number, 713-574-7715, but I didn't answer because I didn't recognize the number and didn't know who it was. I finally answered it after a few days of calls in hopes of finding out who it was. When I answered, the caller identified herself as calling on behalf of Verizon wireless. She had all the information about a dispute I was having with Verizon, so I had no doubt it was from Verizon. They only asked for the lase 4 digits of my social security number or my Verizon account number. I spoke to her briefly about the problem.

It's not fraud. It really is Verizon. What is fraud is the exorbitant rates Verizon charges for data. I switched to t-mobile and I guarantee Verizon Collections will never get a penny from me.
