This is a legit call. I changed my password on my OUTLOOK account and they called me from this number with a code number so I could complete my password change. No problem with this number.......It is NOT a scam. I was expecting the call....it was fine.
I have none of the accounts listed above. (Microsoft, Verizon, AOL) Our Yahoo addresses are older and were set up with a 2nd verification email, not a phone number. This number called my house at 10:30pm on a Sunday night. No one was, or had been on any device, making changes to any accounts. This is not the first time we've received this type of call. I don't believe it is a verification number. IF it is, it is very likely someone is spoofing a valid number to autocall numbers to verify working numbers for a 3rd party telemarketer, who will be calling at another point in time.
This number called my husband to verify it was him logging in to his Hotmail account when he used the new browser with the VPN service. He was using a proxy server in Canada, so they verified he wasn't being hacked.You need a category Call Type: Legitimate.

I did not verify to have any one call me to give me a code. I am not sure if someone is trying to break into one of my online accounts, or if someone erroneously used my phone number to verify one of their accounts. Either way, it is not verified by me.
