You can't call back because it was a recorded message. You know, like emails that say "do not respond to this message".Once again. This is a recorded message from MICROSOFT, issued as a security measure when you request a new password, make a change to your security, change your account. How hard is that to understand?It does not have to be a Hotmail account. Microsoft has been making computer operating systems since 1980, and the number can be for any of their products, including Hotmail, Skydrive, XBox and hundreds more. You might also have received a number due to someone mis-typing their own number. Anybody in these comments who says that they talked to the caller is lying, or they're not referring to a call from this number. It's a recorded message which generally are not good conversationalists.

They called me n I feel I am being harassed

its xboxlive support dialing the wrong number.giving a 5 digit security code for entering an account asked by the owner of the account.

I received 3 of these calls yesterday, starting at 7:22 AM, another at 12:02 PM and another at 9:11 PM. I do not appreciate calls before 8 AM or after 7 PM. I don't need any numbers or anyone to verify who I am or what I do. Yes, this must be stopped....... NOW.... Thank goodness this phone line is on an answering machine and I never pick it up unless I know the caller, but I don't like getting alarmed when calls come in so early or so late.

I believe this is the number that Microsoft uses to send you a verification code, if you get locked out of your hotmail account due to too many bad password attempts.Not sure why they would not explain
