I have gotten these same calls, from this exact number. But the name is, "Liberty something"'.At first, I was nice and said we was not interested and even told them that the car in question is no longer here and then they tried to sale an extended warranty on our newer cars , I explained ,that we still have it and not expired for 2 to 3 years or so and not that many miles, etc.......I finally got them to hang up. Then I got the same calls about twice a week. I finally asked to take me off the calling list. This time, they waited for 30 days and called again. This is really getting frustrating. I think it is now time to file a complaint.
Got a call about 5pm I picked up the phone and then slammed it down Libertyap what is that?
I have requested MULTIPLE times that they remove our number. We are being HARASSED over a warranty renewal that we do not want. When you answer you have to hold on for a bit before you get a person on the line. I always stay on the line to request that they immediately remove our number from their calling list. They keep calling...
Called 3 times a day for 2 days. read all these comments and waited for them to call back. They called yesterday morning and I answered the phone with, "Auto theft task force, Detective Castlebeck.". They hung up without saying a thing and haven't called back.
For over one year, my former employer has continued to receive calls from 732-807-5611 trying to contact me regarding an extended warranty plan. The staff person who sits in my old cubicle has continued to receive calls from this number despite repeated attempts to be placed on the Do Not Call register. She has also explained, on numerous occasions, that the number in their system for me is a work number and that I no longer work for the organization. More recently, the calls increased and the representatives were reportedly aggressive and even threatened legal action against me if I did not call back. That's when the staff person from my former employer contacted me.Yesterday, I called the number and was suprised that the representative had important information about my vehicle (e.g., make/model). I informed her that I was not interested in an extended warranty plan at which time she rudely asked why not. Unfortunately, I lost my temper and angrily asked to be added to the Do Not Call list at which point she agreed to do so. Later than evening, I got an email from my old employer who advised she had received another call from this number trying to contact me.I'll definitely be filing a report with the federal trade commission. Thanks for the information Henry.
Got a call from these people this morning. Caller ID read LibertyAP. Person on other side said it was Liberty Auto Protection.Scammers!!!!
This was from someone who called himself Clay Jenkins from Liberty Auto Protection. They were trying to say that I had not paid the premium on extended warranty on my vehicle, so they would take my credit card information to set up a monthly payment.Sounded like a very busy call center scam. The number is from New Jersey
