I just got a call too...if the caller ID reads "don't answer" then I am sure it's a warning from the telephone company not to answer! So I didn't answer.But if they can change the caller ID to read don't answer can't they shut off this person's number for harrassment?!?!??!?!Ay ay ay!
I got one of these phone calls today!!! I didn't answer. Message is a recording to push a button to confirm and "failure to do so will result in forfeiture of this offer"
Yeah, we've been getting these for a while and I get the tail end of the message on my voice mail.I love how someone hacked their telephone information to say "DONT ANSWER" because I betcha that's not what they want displayed.I did try to call back just to see what kind of information I could get. I was going to see if I could get enough to fill out my state's DNC report but the line was busy. And I'm thinking I would get an earful then a dial tone once I started asking them questions.
Same, I thought it was rather weird that the caller ID said Dont Answer, so I answered. I now regret it, I wasted about 2 minutes of my life.
Some BS telemarketer left msg on machine asking for confirmation of a loan for which no one had applied. Caller id showed "answer d" - really screwy and undoubtedly a very hinky outfit even it should be within shouting distance of honest. This # is on DNC list, but apparently it makes no difference.

Caller said they were from FNBO and wanted to verify information about a credit increase/application. I hung up because I have not applied for any credit or credit line increases.
