Wooo, I had been getting these calls with messages in French for the person who had my number before me. They were nice when I called the 800 number and explained and quickly removed me from the list.
These stupid turdbrains call my business phone relentlessly. My business phone is call forwarded to my BlackBerry.The first time they called, I answered and nobody was there. I have a one strike - you're out policy with people like this. I allow one call. If they do not leave a message, or if nobody is there when I answer, they get automatically and permanently blacklisted. I Google the number first and if they are scammers or debt collectors, I blacklist them.On the BlackBerry, you can download and install a WONDERFUL little program called PrivacyStar. This program will look up the number to see where it is coming from. I can tell the program to block the number and so the next time they call, the program answers the call and immediately hangs up! So they cannot leave any of their stupid messages or anything. They simply cannot get through. Another feature of PrivacyStar is that when you block the call, you have the option of lodging a complaint, right from the program. It's awesome. And you can block a series of numbers, such as all 800 or 866 numbers. I wish this program was available for my iPhone, as I get lots of these scam calls there too.
i've got such a call but in French, i live in Quebec. Semms from Alberta, according to its area code.What do they want to do? Just annoying for nothing?
I received call from 1 780 409 3035. dont know what it was about but i can tell you one thing the day i opened my account with RBC and they added my phone number on the account.
I have been getting calls for 3 years from these people for L White, on my cell phone, think I will cancel my telus account.
