I was really worried when I got this call from Met Credit. They said that I owed over $400 to Bell Canada. I haven't been a client of Bells for years, but I still have my last bill of $0 from Bell. I called Met credit back and said that there was some mistake. The lady (Gehan or Jehan) said that her client is Active Canada. She said that they bought the debt. I tried to talk to Bell, but they said that they don't have me on file anymore because it has been so long. I relay this to MetCredit and they give me Active Canada's number. But, once I call them they say it's illegal for me to talk to them. I explain that there is a mistake and I want this cleared up. She forwards me to Alison Goatsak (??), who doesn't answer the phone or call me back. There number is 1-866-903-1741. I get calls everyday from MetCredit in French. I can't understand what they are saying. I leave messages, I get forwarded to managers who never pick up. I send e-mails with proof of my $0 bill. I do not realize this is a scam yet, but I suspect it.I call Bell again and the girl, this time, finds my old account number and she lets me know that I owe nothing, zero, $0. I am so happy. I have proof that I don't owe any money. I'm sure tomorrow that they will call me and as I have read from other people, they will call for a long time. But knowledge is power. I won't be giving them any money, time or info. Thanks everyone for posting on here.

This call is bordering, they call me twice a week mininum. and just left messages. How I can avoid this call again??

I just got a new cell phone with a new number. They were calling me from this number every day since I got the phone. I called the 1-866 number very unhappy and told them I'm not who they are looking for. They took my number off the list.

Thank you all for your comments, I had a call from this number on my cell phone and at home, didnt leave a message. Its very annoying and confusing.

They keep calling from an autodialer from this number for someone who has the same first initial but not my actual name. I am mighty pissed and tried to phone back to get taken off the list, but the number wouldn't go thru. God damn autodialer crap!! I thought autodialers were illegal in Canada!!!

They keep calling and we don't know the people they are trying to reach. Can't talk to them eather.They are in Alberta and we live it New Brunswick
