Thanks for this. It is October 2016 and I am getting the exact same phone call with a live person leaving voice messages. They know my name and claim to be from the local anesthesia office that handled my surgery. I, too, called back and waited on hold. The guy asked for my account number, phone number and DOB. I hung up when he kept insisting he needed my DOB to give me more information. I already paid an anesthesia bill previously but it's been a few months and I never received an additional statement. I figure if this is legit, I would get another bill in the mail, which I haven't,

I received a call from this company, she gave a person's name, which I could not understand, and said I owed a balance and to call and give them my credit card number. I don't just give my number to just anyone, I pay my bills, but I would think my insurance should cover this!

This is a credit collection company. Don't give anyone your credit card over the phone. I called the Dominion Anesthesia and yes, there was an outstanding balance. I had never received the invoice so they sent me a copy of it via email. As them who is collecting and then call that company directly.

For me, this was not a scam although it did seem like one.I did have surgery in October 2016 (Connecticut) and this was a bill from the Anesthesiologist but this number is from some where in the mid-West? I have since received a paper bill from the Anesthesiologist and it does list this # as the contact # for paying bills.There were a few things about the call that bothered me and that they would be wise to correct. 1. They called 830 on a Friday night. That's too late and it's the weekend; don't bother me. 2. they left a vague message as noted in previous posts, that did not include their name, the name of the Anesthesia group, or the amount owed. Just a recording to call back and give your CC info. Yeah right! 3. They called literally on the same day the bill was created so of course I didn't have it yet. I won't pay until I can confirm the amount billed with my insurance EOB statement. This I have now done and the amount is correct and I have paid it.

Received statement with 40.00 balance. Health insurance explanation of benefits stated 0 Balance. Spoke to two representatives who kept insisting there was a balance of $40.00.

Hi, this is legit. On the voicemail I could not make out the vendor name and it sounded like Anastasia Services on the message left for me so I looked up and found these comments. When I called the first number they could not give any details, only the account number associated with my phone number and then transferred me to someone with the details working on behalf of the provider. So it seems like there is a telephone calling provider, working with a consolidator / payment processor (collections) representing many small businesses (independent health service providers). In my case I sent the check over a month ago but I also told the payment processing person that the automated caller portion was making it seem like a scam. I did not and would not have given her money on the phone. I did confirm my birth date once she told me the actual provider company and I recognized them as the one who billed me for anesthesia. She then did have all of the detailed date of service, procedure information and the correct non-insurance portions amount that I owed.

Just started to get calls from Anesthesia Associates, requesting payment by credit card. I did have a procedure about 2 months ago. The bill has been paid in full. I think what is most disturbing is the women had my real name. How in the world did she know that I had a procedure, much less my name? No additional information was given to her.......

Scam. I paid my hospital bill weeks prior and payment showed in the online system. Contact information for hospital billing is completely different. Hospital billing will reference an account number. I am going to try to get in touch with them to see how much of my information they have. Scam scam scam.

This is a legit number for AnesthesiaLLC. We paid our bill right away online as soon as it came in the mail. Now we kept getting the call from caller ID of "Medical Billing". I called them back and they asked for the account number, gave that to them (What could it hurt? just a random number to anybody else right?) They pulled it up and read my wife's name back to me. I advised them that they had already been paid and I had the date, time and conformation number. Operator said "Okay fine you can just disregard any further calls". Thanked them, hung up and promptly blocked the number.

Another scam bill collector. No SS raise, get in line and send a letter. Bastids.
