Since financing a car through Wells Fargo, I have been receiving annoying calls from the listed number. and when I answer there is dead air and the line disconnects. If this is truly a legit call from Wells Fargo--they have created a bad impression with me.

I have been receiving calls from the toll free number, but they didn't leave a message. I googled the number and found this website, but I did not purchase a new car and I have not financed anything through Wells Fargo.

Been getting at least a call a day. I never answer unknown numbers on CID.

I also purchased a car, and the dealer financed with Wells Fargo after I told them Credit Union. I do not answer unidentified numbers. Why does a major corporation not want to identify itself? My impression of Wells Fargo (and especially the bank they took over) has been less than favorable and this is not helping. So far they have called at least 3 times today.

I googled this number as it was calling, read the comments and answered on the 2nd ring since I just recently financed thru WFDS. They immediately hung up and did not leave a message or call back. Seems to be the pattern here with other commentors so I would be a little weary until you can verify that it is actually Wells Fargo Dealer Services and not someone who can access your credit information.

I just got a new BMW as well and it was financed by WFDS. It's just annoying that they don't leave a message and no official WF caller ID as well.

They kept calling my cell phone so I called them back and she said it was Wells Fargo Dealer Services welcome call. She reviewed a few things about my loan and said I shouldn't be receiving these calls anymore since we went over everything.

On 111014, I received two calls from(800) 279-9301--the number that appeared on my caller ID.At 10:15am,I didn't answer the first call because I didn't recognize it,so I checked the Internet & found this site stating multiple Ppl received a call from Wells Fargo "Welcome" call after obtaining a car loan, so, the second time they called at 3:52pm,I answered the phone; however, no one said anything&then,they just hung up(?!).

After reading the previous postings, I now know who is calling. Oh, I so do not look forwards to these types of calls. Wonder if it is to late to finance elsewhere? First question would be, how is your phone etiquette?

I just received a call from this number, he identified himself as "Buth" and was from WF Dealer Services. He wanted to verify some account information on the Jeep I purchased a week ago. I asked "what kind of information are you interested in?", and he said it was just an introductory call to welcome me to WF, and to begin with he needed the last 4 digits of my SS#. I refused, asked if he could just send me any paperwork and if his Manager's name was available. He was quick to end the call, said that because I didn't provide my SS# that he couldn't complete the call. It's scary that he had both my wife and my name, but there's no way I'm giving that info out on the phone.
