After reading I too bought a car. Instead of dealing with the nuisance, I just blocked the number. Thank you, but no thank you.

I too financed a car; however, the 800 number on their letter is not the same as this number it is 800-289-8004; so I will not pick up. I would think if it is truly Wells Fargo, they would leave a message or their name would appear in the CID; sent to reject list.

Didn't answer since no name. Even if it is Wells Fargo, I'm not talking to those clowns and having them set up a bunch of phony accounts without my permission. That mess is still getting cleaned up, and I want no part of it.

This number keeps calling my cell phone, today it was three times in 2 hrs!! I have read other comments and I too have just purchased a new truck and the financing is through Wells Fargo through the dealership. I will answer next time and post again. :)

I called Wells Fargo, because I too recently got a car loan from them. I was worried someone was using they're number to scam people. They assured me it was just a welcoming call and that it was legit. I advised that a short message would of been nice, and hanging -up was very rude. They apologized and assured me there would be no more phone calls, now that the welcoming call was completed.

Wrapped up called. It is Wells Fargo Dealer Services performing their welcome call and provide info regarding financing...

Damn! They won't stop calling! I had to BLOCK them!

This is a scam for sure. I did not finance through Wells Fargo and they demanded information such as my SS#. They called me 10 times today before I blocked them.

Just got a call from this number, said they were from Wells Fargo. I co-signed for my son, so they should have called him first. Said it was a welcome call and wanted the last 4 digits of my social security number. I told her I did not feel comfortable giving out that info over the phone. She told be since they could not verify who I was that they would send my welcome pack in the mail. I prefer getting it in the mail anyway. I don't care who they are, unless I call them and am 100% sure of who I am calling do I give out info.
